I could really use help with the sideboard. I'm pretty new to Magic, and I don't know what to do there. New as in started playing like 5 days ago, so this is the first deck I've built totally independently.

The first suggestion I would make is that you have a bit too much land. Try to go 2-to-1 (20); my own white weenie deck goes 3-to-1 (15). Most of the creatures are under three mana so it wouldn't be too much of a problem to take some of the land out.

i would run 4 Boros Elite 4 Soldier of the Pantheon and 4 Loyal Pegasus

Also, there's a card called Brave the Elements that's essential for a mono white weenie deck.

So I swapped out my Favored Hoplite for Boros Elite because I agree it is the stronger card. I also got rid of two plains to allow to up my Soldier of the Pantheon count to four. I don't think I'll run Loyal Pegasus solely because a lot of my plan is to go over the opponent with Cavalry Pegasus and a human based combo.

Because this is my second deck, I don't have a lot of cards yet, so I am hesitant to buy Brave the Elements since it leaves standard in a month or two, but it would otherwise be a great card for the deck, especially against a mono-colored deck.

Banisher Priest or Frontline Medic would defiantly help this deck

Also instead of Hall of Triumph I'd use Spear of Heliod

I have to put Favored Hoplite back in because Boros Elite is rotating out, so I won't be able to play it for too long.

I may swap Spear of Heliod for Hall of Triumph if I get the money for it (since I already have Hall of Triumph). I can't add Frontline Medic or Banisher Priest because they're rotating outward, unless they're being reprinted.

i would put your 1 Spirit Bonds replacing 1 Launch the Fleet and 2 Oppressive Rays instead of the Battle Mastery .you already have some good damage output and you could use a 1 mana control card.

Obelisk of Urd is awesome. Also you will NOT regret adding in Loyal Pegasus . I have a really fun white weeny deck that I made for my friends to use and my 1 drop suite is: 4 Loyal Pegasus , 4 Soldier of the Pantheon and 4 Boros Elite . This plan is amazing because you're chances are very high of doing the good old "one drop into two more one drops". Putting 5 or 6 power on the board with 3 creatures on turn 2 is really strong. Especially if you're using Hall of Triumph and Spear of Heliod

I swapped Staff of the Sun Magus for a Spear of Heliod because I think the Hopeful Eidolon s will bring enough life gain (well, at least I hope). I also got rid of Favored Hoplite and one Hopeful Eidolon to add in two Loyal Pegasus .

Take the Plains out of your sideboard. If you want two different strategies (like my Boros deck) make sure they operate on the same curve. It's more consistent.

Take out the Sightless Brawler s and move Aegis of the Gods to the sideboard (against burn).

Replace these with either 4 Banisher Priest , or 4 Azorius Arrester (that one's up to you. I use a play set of both in my Weenie deck)

I would put in 4 God-Favored General for the 4 Precinct Captain because the Ravnica cards will soon become unstandard and also the God-Favored General will spawn more 1/1 white soldier enchantment creature tokens although you must pay for them, although i think the 3 mana is worth it.

Return to Ravnica is legal until mid September. Don't worry about replacing good cards with mediocre cards just yet, buildingadeck

That is true that Ravnica will go unstandard in September however I prefer the 2 tokens for 3 mana over the 1 token whenever combat damage is dealt to a player. That way you can get 2, 1/1 tokens just from attacking and not necessarily doing combat damage to a player so you can get more tokens more often. That is just what I prefer but if you like Precinct Captain more than God-Favored General use the Precinct Captain.

You can have a 1/1 that doesn't impact the board for 2 turns or a 2/2 with first strike that's a threat instantly. That's how I see it. Inspired is really a bad ability if you don't have something to manipulate your creatures. Attacking in with a 1/1 with no special combat abilities will not get through about 80% of the time, and when it does, there is a very high chance it will be killed before it untaps. This is an aggro deck and it doesn't fit in it.

I think it could potentially if you know how to play it although i do see what u mean about the first strike ability I did not realize that Precinct Captain had first strike. If u can manipulate the God-Favored General it can be very helpful though.

Absolutely. But mono white cannot manipulate it. To make a good magic deck you have to have a goal or a theme, or just play the best cards in the format at the time. Those are really your two options. You want things to be consistent and work well so everything has to work around a central theme.

While I do love Banisher Priest , and I know that Ravnika isn't out until September, because I'm new to the game, I don't want to spend money on cards (however cheap they may be) to use them for less than a month since I'm going to be very busy through August. But I will put in Azorius Arrester to replace Aegis of the Gods and Sightless Brawler . Thanks for the advice clyde164 and Karimzamrini.

In my sideboard, I will also get rid of Soul of Theros and Mass Calcify since they don't fit my mana curve, and but I don't know of any decent replacements. Help?
