This is a U/W build that I will be running in the new "Theros" Standard. It is built to really be able to withstand aggro builds, aside from it potentially being steam-rolled by aggro. (but then again, all decks have a chance of losing to aggro.) I believe that this deck is well-positioned in the beginning of this new standard, because its games against aggro and control only improve after side-board.

B/W/R midrange- This deck is slightly in your favor, mainly due to the fact that the majority of their cards game 1 are dead against you, i.e. Anger of the Gods Mizzium Mortars chain to the rocks etc. After board, it is a bit more difficult due to the anti control cards they bring in Thoughtseize Slaughter Games etc. Similar to control vs. jund in the past, this matchup is very in no way impossible.

Mono-red aggro. This match is very straight forward. If you survive the Supreme Verdict check and stick an Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Jace, Architect of Thought or AEtherling, then you win. If you don't then you lose. After sideboard, bring in Yoked Ox and Last Breath and board out Syncopate , AEtherling and 1 Dissolve

U/W mirror. Similarly straight forward, stick Elspeth, Sun's Champion or dig for and protect AEtherling to win. On sideboard, board in Glare of Heresy Jace, Memory Adept and Pithing Needle to catch Detention Sphere and AEtherling
