An updated version of my Unexpected Results deck, now with RED!

Updates:-3 Riddle of Lighting+3 Cathartic Reunion

Riddle was a really awkward card. It either won the game or did nothing (much like the deck itself). Cathartic Reunion however gives the ability to put some of the 'hits' back in the deck (since most shuffle in) while drawing some cards, which the deck sorely needed. It also makes opening hands more keepable.

General Play Tips:The deck is pretty straight forward to play. The goal is to cast Unexpected Results as early (and often) as possible (T2 is the earliest using Magus). If you have a hand with Unexpected and 2 land it is almost always a keep. The basic game plan is to play your mana creatures early, fetch out lands as much as possible (to increase "hit" density), and only block with creatures when you have to. The backup strategy of the deck is to ramp into 6 mana and cast Blast of Genius at your opponent(which should hit for 10-15 in most cases and with modern's mana base that should be a kill).

The biggest tips are: This deck has huge variance. You will need to learn to accept that. Sakura Tribe Elder is great for chump blocking. Save him for that if you don't need the mana. Avoid chumping with your mana dorks. They are very important. (I have hard cast Omniscience in a game before). It is nice to have a "hit" or Blast in your hand in case you hit an Omniscience off your Unexpected, but don't be afraid to empty your hand of the big "hits" with Cathartic Reunion. You will likely draw another hit and getting other cards out of your deck is more valuable.
