The Locust God's Treasure

Standard UR (Izzet)

Doyle345

Sideboard

There is no greater treasure than knowledge. Card draw is knowledge. Card draw is the greatest treasure the Locust God can give me. Praise be him and his insect disciples.

So, I've been wanting to build a Locust God deck for a while in standard, and this is my first attempt at a control deck with The Locust God. The idea of the deck is to control the game until I have a flipped Treasure Map or two and a Trove of Temptation or two. Then drop The Locust God, have him survive for a turn, then just start spamming out hasty flying tokens. Pull From Tomorrow is great because I can use all of those extra treasures to make a bunch of tokens and close out the game quickly from there.

The sideboard is meant to deal with ramunap red and control mirror matches mostly.

I'm an gruul aggro/ramp player by heart, so this is very much out of my comfort zone. Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I will be testing this is on MTGO soon and will post the record from a friendly league.
