Merfolk, merfolk, merfolk... and more merfolk

The deck is meant to be your standard run of the mill aggressive deck. Even without going wide via tokens (Deeproot Waters), the primary goal is to get your unblockable merfolk beefy as possible. Whether it's putting counters on Mist-Cloaked Herald by way of Deeproot Elite/Jade Bearer or adding merfolk to the board to bring up River Sneaks power and toughness.

Curious Obsession on unblockable merfolk helps keep the deck from running out of gas as does Silvergill Adept's enter the battlefield ability.

Play Deeproot Waters on turn four so you can play a one drop (Mist-Cloaked Herald, Kumena's Speaker or Jade Bearer) so you can get two merfolk on the board.

The sideboard is meant to help protect the deck from board wipes (Settle the Wreckage, Hour of Devastation, Sweltering Suns, etc.) and removal (Fatal Push, Lightning Strike, Ixalan's Binding, etc.) Censor is there to help with the early counters as well as cycle. Dissenter's Deliverance is intended to help deal with artifact and also cycle.
