In a new Modern format full of Eldrazi, most decks are too slow to keep up with turn 3 Reality Smasher. However, this deck can have a turn 4 6/5 first striker, so those pesky world eaters don't stand a chance! Zoo has never been so colorful, and we have access to essentially any creature we want.
The Dudes
Bant Sureblade: The first of our Shard Blankblades (what I call this cycle), this is essentially a two mana 3/2 first striker. That's pretty good.
Grixis Grimblade: You don't want to block it, and you don't want to attack into it.
Esper Stormblade: Evasion is a good thing to have. Especially on a decent body.
Naya Hushblade: The ability to not be targeted is okay, but not as necessary as the other abilities.
Jund Hackblade: Haste equals aggression. Aggression equals this deck.
Knight of New Alara: Every creature in the deck is multicolored. Value.
Coiling Oracle: Card advantage on a chump blocker!
Siege Rhino: This card happens to be very good. It can do lots of good things.
Rhox War Monk: The ability to stop faster decks is necessary here.
Woolly Thoctar: Bruh. Its stat to mana ratio is off the charts. Biggs from TheManaSource loves it for a reason.
Path to Exile: When your opponent pulls off an Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, you need some backup.
Terminate: More removal. Note: A fourth Path is better but I don't have the last one and it's expensive...kind of...
Collected Company: Hits a lot of this deck's cards, and so it is good enough for me.
The Lands
Since we're running five colors, we need five color lands, so we have them.
The Board
Since our deck is creature intensive and some lands only support them, our board is the best creatures to substitute in.
