I feel like this is going to dilute the stories of the individual planes even more, forcing their stories even further into the background in favor of the spotlight characters. I personally think the period from 2005-2012, when the focus was on the planes and their individual stories instead of being a character-driven plot, was some of the best world building this game has seen. Ravnica, Lorwyn/Shadowmoor, Alara (still my all-time favorite, and I really hope it can maintain its unique identity), Zendikar, and Innistrad all come from this time, and these are some of the most popular planes ever made. I got into this game to explore planes, and that's still my favorite part. In the last couple years, though, the planar settings have felt rushed, underdeveloped, and generic, pushed aside in favor of the planeswalkers' plots. If this development becomes overused, then the setting almost doesn't matter, because almost anyone can do almost anything almost anywhere. It's not going to drive me away from the game completely, but it's another step away from what I personally consider the peak of Magic design. The settings have stories, too, and I'm still struggling to figure out why I should care about New Capenna and Kaldheim.

I don't want planes to become gimmicky, one-dimensional backdrops. I feel like they were heading in this direction before, and I'm concerned this trend will continue. I'm concerned that everywhere will now just have a "recovering from the Realmbreaker Invasion" story with minor variations.

I need to harp on Alara some more. I was excited for a return, to see what a plane that reassembled itself from wildly different subplanes would look like geographically, culturally, socially, and everything else-ally after it had settled. Now, though, I'm afraid it's going to be treated as just another plane that got invaded. It had one of the biggest events a single plane has ever had, and then nothing else was heard until the Phyrexians showed up. I want to know how it had developed, how it would have continued to develop, and all I got was going straight from this and this and this to this  Flip, with a very brief stop in Magic Origins and M19. The entire story of New Alara is "The shards were exploring each other, making alliances and enemies, and then it got invaded by Phyrexians." What alliances? What enemies? How did it develop? Does any of that matter anymore?

I was thinking of old krenko, from back when I was still mucking about with goblin lists.

For rakdos aggro, Munitions Expert is the most important as (functionally) extra copies of Goblin Grenade . Earwig Squad and Sling-Gang Lieutenant somewhere in the 75.

Run some tests with spike jester and see if you like it there- I've played it in the past and its fine. Not amazing, just fine. Jund Hackblade is similar, but more conditional, and Goblin Deathraiders is bad. Thats the multicolour goblins covered- its quite unexciting. Mad Auntie is a lord that doesn't offer evasion, and is therefore better as any of the red lords, but might be worth it in a hyper-budget list.

Auntie's Snitch and Squee, Goblin Nabob are an interesting card advantage engine (which is hated out by the same cards as dredge), but can make for a fun Zombie Infestation list. Stinkdrinker Bandit would be good if enough good goblin rogues existed. Warren Weirding is an interesting hybrid removal/token spell, but still sub-par.

With the meta up in the air as far as competitive modern goes, I don't feel too confident getting more specific than 'playtest'.

Stoneforge means plans for a t3 Batterskull are a must, as well as a plan for Ensnaring Bridge (hence me looking at Angrath's Rampage or Rakdos Charm ), but past that just playtest and see what you like. See if any rakdos burn lists show up on a metagame site for you to pinch the sideboard/spells from.

I mean, I'm someone who'd see if Skirk Prospector / Knucklebone Witch / Experimental Frenzy was playable. I'm not sure you should be taking advice from me.

I have Squee, the Immortal in the deck. Is there a point to have the 2 version? Also a Rekindling Phoenix and a Goblin Chainwhirler incoming.

I will include Stronghold Assassin , Viscera Seer and Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest . The hard choice is what to remove. Getting rid of attacks sorcery like Overrun , Overwhelming Stampede ? Also, Farseek ? I feel I havn't enough mana accelator.

Goblin Grenade / Goblin War Strike ; only one of the two, or none?

As for creatures, removing Goblin Cratermaker , Jund Hackblade and Pawn of Ulamog ?

Seems a bit slow and - terrain elemental, hungry spriggan, young wolf (in this shell), mogg flunkies, seismic stomp, only 2 rancors - are all odd choices, . Now, first suggestions are a bit weird - add white. This will allow you access to two things - Wild Nacatl and since going three colors will necessitate fixing in the form of Evolving Wilds and Naya Panorama , you can include a landfall package as well in Plated Geopede , Steppe Lynx , Snapping Gnarlid , Makindi Sliderunner .

The blades are another option if you do not want to go 3 colors - Naya Hushblade , Jund Hackblade are some of the best creatures for this deck. To facilitate their multicolored-ness, add Wild Cantor instead of wolf for example. Another great GR addition is Giantbaiting .

Claim / Fame is a great card.

I use it in RB with Civic Saber and Jund Hackblade, Grixis Grimblade, effectively giving them +3/+0 for an equip cost of .

You can't play Jund Hackblade, it has a black/green hybrid symbol and you can't use anything that isn't Red/Black
