A soldier favors haste over cleverness, if you strike quickly you'll end it quickly.

Always been a fan of white weenie so I'm taking it to the modern scene.

Champion of the Parish : This guy is a monster. If played turn one the game can get out of hand really quickly.

Benalish Marshal : Welcome to the high end of our curve. For 3 mana we get a 3/3 that anthems the entire team. If we have stuff out like Champion of the Parish thats basically +2/+2 for him.

Dauntless Bodyguard : I'll admit she is pretty boring at first, but in this deck, she works hard. A 2/1 body for one mana is expected, but having the ability to save one of our more valued creatures can be huge. Even in the late game just tossing her down for one mana to basically protect our bigger threats is great.

Soldier of the Pantheon Another 1 drop with a 2/1 body. Probably the weakest card in the deck but sometimes his protection ability does come into play and he can swing or block with impurity.

Coppercoat Vanguard Okay let's break down this baddy. For 2 mana I get a 2/2 body that gives a small anthem to all my creatures and even protects them with ward. Like Holy crap. A true powerhouse that not only helps protect my creatures but makes them swing harder.

Kytheon, Hero of Akros   : Basically Savannah Lions on steroids. The ability to make himself indestructible does come in handy ever once in a while, but the ability to eventually make my little 2/1 one drop into an indestructible 4/4 is powerful.

Path to Exile : Arguably the best removal spell in modern. Nuff said.

Recruitment Officer : Another kind of Savannah Lions in the deck but with even greater upside. She's even great in the late game by just finding us more of our army.

Thalia's Lieutenant : So basically a Champion of the Parish for 2 mana, but in turn puts +1/+1 counters on all of our dudes. She makes our army of weenies become men.

Thalia, Guardian of Thraben : You know what I don't like is all my opponents playing so many fancy non-creature spells trying to either kill my guys, set up a combo, or god forbid counter my spells. Luckily Thalia, Guardian of Thraben shares my exact feelings. We are playing this deck to smash face with our army by turning to the right as fast as we can and she slows down our opponents just enough to do an even better job of it.
