If you are in a meta heavy on Anger of the Gods, Pyroclasm, Kozilek's Return, etc (I mean like 8 per deck) then sideboard 3-4 Mark of Asylum instead of Spellskite.

This deck is fascinating, I'm going to work up my own version now.

I feel like the deck has a lot of potential, but seems too slow for modern. That could just be me though. Maybe replace Sky Hussar with another token producer?

@uraniumshark It is slower than some modern strats in the sense it will usually kill you between the 5th and 6th turn, however you will usually outlive them to that turn. I have played the deck lots before uploading it, and (unfortunately) only Infect can consistently end me before that time. I say unfortunately because when the Eldrazi rose and Abzan followed, Infect regained popularity.Now, all that was before adding the Brume, which might be enough to earn a crucial turn, but I haven't tested this version in that match up against, only using the previous version. I'll tell you once I have more data.

Sorin, Solemn Visitor might be pretty cool in here, the pump plus lifelink seems right on par with what you are looking to do here. and his ultimate can be very useful to you to help close games out if need be

@demonicgrizzly I have tried him and he is a valid option, it can replace the Archangel if you like.

Have you thought about Cloudshift and Illness in the Ranks? I use them with Blood Artist in my build (Pain Has An Element Of Blank). The Cloudshift is handy for blinking Hunted Phantasm and for protecting a creature from spot removal. Though I may decide to swap it with Essence Flux after some playtesting. I tend to have more white mana open than blue.

@NoSoyYucateco

I wrongly commented before checking out your deck, I also have my set of Blood Artist and Illness, but surely it would end looking a lot like your deck. But in the meta of my local store I would struggle with that. I try to present the other with a duality of value: Remove the sisters vs Getting hit by spirits, Remove the Phantasm vs Remove the Suture Priest, Attack with their spirits vs Losing life to Brume. I'm pretty sure the difference lies in the metas of each store. Thx for the comment :)

Makes sense--it would require a bit of an overhaul. Your deck is different in that it does actually try to beat face with creatures. Illness wouldn't be terrible once you have Intangible Virtue out to take care of what you're giving your opponent, and it hoses Deceiver Exarch and Pestermite tokens created by Kiki Jiki, but I don't know how popular he is at your store. My deck certainly enjoyed playing against Splinter Twin back when that was still a thing.

Oh--and I meant to ask, are you just running Sacred Foundry for the Wear / Tear in the sideboard? If that's the case, I'd either toss some more red staples in your sideboard (though cuts would be hard--it's very tight as it is) or just take it out and run Disenchant instead. The fuse is nice, but I can't imagine a lot of situations where you'll need it, unless there's something particular you play against regularly that needs to take out one of each.

I'm not sold on Batwing Brume, I think the deck would do better with more aggro pressure, since it's more consistent than combat tricks, might I suggest Bitterblossom?

You mentioned working on a green version, I have a GW sisters deck you might want to check out:

@NoSoyYucatecoNot many play KikiChord anymore, creatures (flyers) are usually required to draw attention from the sisters and also beat down, it's because of the meta I have. Wear/Tear is almost a must cause some run a combination of Illness/Torpor Orb/RedLeyline/BloodMoon

@Storm525

I used to run bitterblossom, but it does nothing against Elves/Tritons, which were troublesome since they outdmg the life gain, only surviving with 5-9 HP. Brume forces them to kill themselves or not play. It can also give u "that" turn vs Infect or Affinity. It is still a move developed because of the meta. If you have many combo/slow decks, then BitterB is better.
