this is my Hydra-Simic deck.
How it work:
First of all, the main effect of this deck is, the power of Voracious Hydra. That you get everything out of the Voracious Hydra, im using few creatures like the Incubation Druid or Maraleaf Pixie. The mana stock it self, is not so high with 21 cards.
There are also some artifacts like Nyx Lotus or The Great Henge. They also push the mana stock.
For those who use fire decks with low haste creatures, im using the Cerulean Drake. He has protection from red.
I also use the Shifting Ceratops. He has protection from blue. And is also very versatile with his 3 effects like reach, trample or haste.
Sometimes the card draw isnt that good and the high tier creatures wont come. In that scenario, the idea is, to push the low tier creatures with the support cards. In that case there is: Biogenic Upgrade or Hydra's Growth. In some case, if the situation dont allow other plays, i also use the Stealth Mission to upgrade my low tier creatures. But normaly the Stealth Mission is used to put the opponent under pressure. To give him high damage because the creature cannot be blocked.
In all that combinations, with the Hydras and the support cards, im playing the Simic Ascendancy. With some draw luck, in few turn i reach the counter of 20 to win the game. Also a good combination is, to bring the Voracious Hydra double his strength and defense, to get de double count for the simic. And then bring the Galloping Lizrog and double the counters again. After that, in the most games, you allready reached 20 counters on the simic.
by the way.. there is also the planeswalker Nissa, Who Shakes the World. She can bring lands with counters on the battlefield. In combination with the Skatewing Spy, all creatures with counter on them, are getting flying. Most creatures are played with counters in this deck. So the Skatewing Spy is an nice Addon.
So..
Well this is my consideration.
The deck worked very well till i reached platinum rank. But now i can no longer keep up with the opponents. Most time i cant even play out the effects or the strategy of my deck.
if you have some idea how to optimize the deck.. please give me feedback.
