- 2x Consuming Aberration
- 4x Doorkeeper
- 2x Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker
- 2x Murmuring Phantasm
- 2x Wall of Frost
This is my first standard deck, so I am open to any kind of feedback.
The idea is to have three different focuses that lead to a long, slow milling:
The Doorkeepers, Murmuring Phantasm and the Wall of Frosts provide an early defense line, to survive until the manabase increases. In this respect, Crypt Incrusion works really well, and since it is an instant it can work miracles against decks with Undying).
Mind Grind works extremely well with Psychic Spiral, providing with an endless and very effective milling combo. It provides infinite deck replayability and it ensures that you'll always have access to some of the strongest creatures (Consuming Aberration and Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker).
Psychic Attack and Far / Away work as counters and removal spells.
The thing I'm really lacking is some card drawing sorceries or instants, to gain faster access to the big creatures.
I have tested this against an Undying-based deck, with amazing results, and against an Elves deck, with some degree of success.
Please tell me what you think of it, I'm really looking forward to building a solid Standard deck for the current rotation.
I had never heard of this card, but thanks to the comment of welcome2egypt01, I have found the perfect card for faster matches. This will allow me to almost always have either a Psychic Spiral or one of the big creatures in my hand.
The changes are as follows:
Well built, +1 from me. Can't wait to see what Theros brings to Dimir. Take a look at my Dimir control deck Master of Manipulation
