Pretty simple stuff here, this is meant to be a Modern legal but mostly casual deck that uses Corpsejack Menace, Varolz, the Scar-Striped and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to bring out some unique creatures, pump them up and then either attack or to drain the life out of our opponents via Essence Harvest.

Specifically, the deck uses Death's Shadow and Sheltering Ancient as low mana high power creatures to abuse and throw into our graveyard to later pump our other creatures such as Dungrove Elder and Lotleth Troll all thanks to Varolz's unique scavenge ability.

Once the creatures are on the field and they've been pumped by either Death's Shadow or Sheltering Ancient we can then try and end the game by:

1. Making them hexproof and unblockable through Glaring Spotlight.
2. Sacrificing them through Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord.
3. Attacking with the counters on Sheltering Ancient or Grim Flayer.

This deck takes some idea's found in Death's Menace made by derekb79 and tries to make it more consistent. The major differences between the two decks are my choice of Dungrove Elder over Vampire Nighthawk purely for the protection from removal and Sheltering Ancient over Tormented Soul for added counter-pumping and more utility. Keep in mind this is all just a personal choice, I think the other deck is still quite viable, I just wanted to make some alterations to bring it closer to my playing style.
