Nevermind it's in dragons

More important, it's in the Welcome Deck 2016, so it'll remain legal for awhile.

Some cards to think of:

Collective Brutality (For sideboard): In my opinion one of the best discard spells for the sideboard in standard and can also be used to kill creatures.

Whispers of Emrakul: With delirium this card is stupidly powerful. Discard two for two is super strong.

August 20, 2016 10:08 p.m.

Well, Duress removes anything that's not a land or a creature. That's more than Collective Brutality's scope. Of course, CB is more versatile, but this build is not designed to discard so the card doesn't fit.

Same problem with delirium. I run a lot of sorcery types compared to others types. Delirium would be difficult to achieve.

Thanks for the suggestions. There is something missing for the middle game. I disrupt early but I lack presence after that. This is still a work in progress.

Nice title. My favourite Pink Floyd song. Very nice deck +1. Could you upvote and review my St Traft Azorius Control? Thanks

LOVE THE PINK FLOYD REFERENCE!!!

The deck is pretty cool, too.

Thought-Knot Seer looks like a good fit for this deck. Might be good to consider once the new rotation starts on Sept 30. Nice deck-- looks like fun to play! +1 :-D

bpatric1,

That's exactly the card I was thinking of adding. I took out Deadbridge Shaman and I was wondering what other midrange creature I could add. I think I'll take out Duress on rotation.

I like this deck. I enjoy the straight out of the gates aggression and pressure it puts on the opponent while not slowing you down to gain control. I am still in the building portion of my deck that has a similar flavor. It is still in the prototype folder and will be moving out to the publics eye within the next two weeks. Well done!

I still think that this deck needs Thought-Knot Seer!

Also, to help trigger delirium (e.g., To the Slaughter), adding Dead Weight adds another card type and very good removal for only .

December 12, 2016 11:15 a.m. Edited.

BioProfDude,

Yeah, I keep thinking about the thought nazi!

I moved Warping Wail to the side and put in Dead Weight main. I like having another one-drop in here.

I'll have to see how to make room for Thought-Knot Seer. Maybe I'll take out Bane of Bala Ged and keep my mana curve easier.

Thanks for the feedback.

Make Obsolete is a weaker but faster Biting Rain that doesn't kill your stuff.

Subtle Strike could kill something, and can pump up one of your finishers if you draw it late. Boon of Emrakul has a similar effect.

Vessel of Malignity discards and gives you more enchantments for delirium.

When Aether Revolt rolls around, Yahenni's Expertise for another board wipe.

December 17, 2016 10:49 a.m.

Make Obsolete makes sense with token decks. I'll try that.

The only other cards I like are Vessel of Malignity and Yahenni's Expertise. I've played the vessel before and it is very slow so that's out. I'll have to wait for Yanni.

Thanks!

I want Goblin Dark-Dwellers in this deck. It makes Mind Rot so mean. You just spend 2 cards for 4 of theirs plus you get a good creature on board. I understand you aren't going to splash red here so maybe I will buid it...Whispers of Emrakul does not show you their hand. and I concur that Thought-Knot Seer makes a lot of sense, though why not Distended Mindbender? If you're already loving Filigree Familiar so much, I don't see why not.Ideal curve seems like it would go Harsh Scrutiny into Whispers of Emrakul into Filigree Familiar into Distended Mindbender into Goblin Dark-Dwellers into a possible Noxious Gearhulk (which I know doesn't fit with your plan, but it's really useful to have in the deck just in case you get Emrakuled or something somehow).

December 18, 2016 9:07 p.m.

Cyman,

I like your observations. Whispers of Emrakul was put in as part of my experiment with Creeping Dread but Whispers could be dropped now. Blind discard is not the best.

I prefer Distended Mindbender over Thought-Knot Seer for the same reason I prefer Pick the Brain over Lost Legacy -- I don't want to put cards in my opponent's hand. I used to run Mindbender in an earlier version of the deck and as a 5/5, it would be a good closer. I'll try that creature out again.

Thanks for the comments!

Check out my version... It still needs some help I think. Revolting Shadows of Kaladesh.

Play tested it, when it hits the land drops, it's filthy.

What do you think about bumping up to 22 lands?

December 28, 2016 5:50 p.m.

Geo67,

Good suggestion. I'm always hoping I hit my lands. Dropped Murder to two, and added two swamps.

Thanks!
