This is my first custom built deck :)
This deck is not supposed to be a competitive deck, as I know that cards like Cloudpost, Sol Ring, etc are either banned or restricted heavily. The purpose of this deck is for casual play.I play with a MTG group, where the only rule that was set was no Alpha or Beta cards.... So yea.
The way that I want this deck to work, is that I can pump up the amount of colorless mana generation to high levels, and make it so I can get out some of those heavy hitters. A couple strategies in mind here, is that if I can get the Darksteel Forge + Nevinyrral's Disc combo, then I can wipe the field every turn. The idea is that since all the Darksteel cards are indestructible, and Darksteel Forge makes Artifacts indestructible, the only vulnerable cards I would have to deal with are enchantments, but since I have no enchantments, I'm good. The other "win condition" is the use of the final ability of Karn Liberated, which is self explanatory.
I was considering using All Is Dust, for another wipe card, but I saw Nevinyrral's Disc as a better choice. I was also considering putting in Ward of Bones, due to its ability to limit the opponent, and also make it so token decks can't overwhelm the creatures I have. The idea of putting Metalworker in is tempting, but its also like $25. Yea, it It would be pretty great if I could pull out the Metalworker + Voltaic Construct cheese strategy. I am just trying to think of other card ideas that would enhance this decks play style. I haven't found a good card for drawing more cards, but I know that cards like that (especially colorless ones) are either pricey mana wise, or don't exist. Tinker is a very tempting card, as you can essentially get any artifact card out at the cost of 3 mana and a artifact sacrifice. Gemstone Array can get any color mana, so the blue mana can be taken care of. For this reason, I also added Blighsteel Colossus in the maybe board, because the Tinker + Blighsteel Colossus is pretty ridiculous.
