land destruction

Pauper Mono-Red

Sideboard

The idea of this deck is based off the old ponza lists that ran Slith Firewalker into land destruction spells to put on increasing pressure while limiting an opponents development as the game progressed. While we don't have old staples like Arc-Slogger to control the field/win the game, I believe slowing down an opponent long enough to land a Chartooth Cougar or an Ulamog's Crusher should be able to win a game from there. Burn spells are to handle early game creatures that might be able to get ahead of our land destruction spells.

The odd man out in all this is the Orcish Spy and is is a test card to help me plan my plays during the game. It can help make decisions like burn a creature or destroy a land. Or maybe do I fetch a land with my Ash Barrens or is the finisher I'm looking for on top. Maybe it just helps to know to shuffle away unneccessary lands off the top of a deck. Like I say it's a test card for now and may be changed out later depending on how testing goes.

Sb choices: Pyroblast and Red Elemental Blast for blue decks, obviously.

Goblin Skycutter kills a flipped delver and other random stuff. (not sure about this slot)

Swirling Sandstorm board wipe against bigger creature decks

Shenanigans affinity

Martyr of Ashes board wipe for small creatures that get on the board quick like ex: elves, goblins

DISCLAIMER: I have only had the opportunity to goldfish this currently.
