Depending on how competitive you want to make this deck you want to consider serveral options all depending on your budget. I would reccomend if your creating a more casual deck you might want more card draw effects, such as Curiosity or Curious Obsession . Additionally having more ways to defend your powered up creatures will be critical to your gameplan; adding Mizzium Skin or Dive Down effects might be really handy. If your going for something as close to top tier as you can take it I would also add in more counterspells such as Stubborn Denial and throw in Hexproof threats such as Slippery Bogle and Invisible Stalker . Also if you want to be super jank replace more of your creatures with: Arcbound Slith , Slith Firewalker and Slith Strider .

I would love to see Horror or Demons as one of the tribes but that would involve some tiny demons which I just dont see happening. Guessing one of them might be humans or angels though. It would be funny if they threw a curve ball and went with Slith's like Slith Firewalker or Zubera like Ember-Fist Zubera.

Agreed TheDevicer. I've faced many a blue player, and there are a lot of ways to deal with mono-blue decks. However, not knowing more about the player, their skill levels, their current local meta game, their collection, or even what deck their playing, I was just suggesting a strategy and providing some samples to kick start the conversation. Are Great Sable Stag and Mistcutter Hydra great cards? No. But since both cards are under a dollar each, they are an affordable start and .

Yes, limiting a blue player's options in one strategy. So is overwhelming the player with more threats than they can counter. Another tactic is pushing that turn clock faster than the blue player wants to run. For example, swinging each turn with a Slith Firewalker or Taurean Mauler or similar creature that keeps getting bigger. And I can't think of a blue player that hasn't hated me dropping a Teferi's Puzzle Box on the table. There goes planning anything long term.

My Pacifism deck gives players all kinds of trouble. In the early game blue players defend me because I have more Wrath effects and creature control. Later in the game, they turn on me because I'm screwing up their strategies too.

It comes down to a lot of factors, but as a jump off point for a discussion, I didn't think that Great Sable Stag and Mistcutter Hydra were bad choices.

I would try to push down the cmc of your creaturs maybe not cut a few of the less efficient dubble strike creaturs and replace them with creaturs that grow and would benefit of getting dubble strike mostly red vampires.like Stromkirk NobleBloodcrazed NeonateFalkenrath ExterminatorRakish HeirErdwal RipperBloodmad VampireHavengul VampireHeirs of StromkirkFalkenrath MaraudersSlith FirewalkerTaurean MaulerWar Elemental

Giving dubble strike:

Frenzied GoblinPyreheart WolfGoblin War DrumsRaging RiverInvasion PlansLegion LoyalistArchetype of Aggression

Always a hard one draw :Ghirapur OrreryKey to the CityMind Stone

These are just some cards they arn't all equal :DThe most important part of building red is evry card needs to do work becous chanses are your not going to see too mutch of your deck drawing death cards is the worst so think 5 times about evry card you put in :)In the end mono red is hard to pull off aside from a dretti stax build en in less degree krenko en kiki jiki combo its going to be an uphill battle. This can be a strengt though as long you don't draw to mutch attension people ignore you :D

I like this, but I think there are better 2-costs that cost RR to rack up that devotion. I would replace the dragonlord with either Slith Firewalker or Pyre Charger. The latter is especially nice because it gives you a mana sink for all that extra Nykthos mana that's hard to use late in the game.

This is a pretty cool deck. I like the throwback Slith Firewalker; my brother always murdered me with that card back in the day. I'm a bit surprised to see that you have many more creatures than non-creature spells since a lot of your creatures go well with the latter. I'm also not so keen on 24 mountains - you should be able to get away with 20-22.

As a late game inevitability, I would suggest Shrine of Burning Rage if you can fit it. It stresses out your opponent so much!
