First FNM 1-3 —Oct. 7, 2017

Interestingly enough, this deck (I thought) had a pretty well-tuned sideboard. I won every game one and still managed to go 1-3. Overall, the deck just didn't finish opponents fast enough, they always seemed to stabilize at around 5 life and there wasn't much I could do.

I played against two Grixis Energy Control decks, a Temur Energy deck, and an interesting W/b Vampire/Sunmare deck. The Grixis decks destroyed me with spot removal and sweepers, the Vampire deck just gained life faster than I could deal damage, it was running four main deck copies of Ritual of Rejuvenation and a bunch of lifelink guys. Vona, Butcher of Magan was also a house against me, especially when he had over 30 life. The Temur Energy deck seemed to be my best matchup of the night, but Bristling Hydra is still a pain to deal with.

-3 Ammit Eternal: Turns out creatures that are weak to cantrips don't feel good. Seriously, Opt beat the hell out of my Ammits. Maybe in a more grindy, midrange deck running Key to the City is where he can shine.

x4 Gifted Aetherborn moved to sideboard to make room for _Glint-Sleeve Siphoner.

+4 Glint-Sleeve Siphoner: The menace and card draw should help me punch through better.

x2 Kitesail Freebooter moved to sideboard to make room for Aethersphere Harvester.

+2 Aethersphere Harvester need the big butt, flying is great, 1 crew cost is great, lifelink is relevant since I'm moving Gifted Aetherborn to side yet have 4 copies of Ruin Raider.

+1 **Ruin Raider_: ALL-STAR CREATURE.

-2 Seekers' Squire under-performed in every game, just doesn't fit in the aggro shell as much as I thought it would.

-1 Vicious Conquistador for +1 Yahenni, Undying Partisan: his survivability is something I wanted more often.

+4 Night Market Lookout: Needed another one drop. He has a similar effect as Vicious Conquistador and is also the best Aethersphere Harvester pilot in standard.

+1 Gonti, Lord of Luxury: After playing Hostage Taker, I could see him being quite relevant but I'm still unsure of this slot.

Land: Went down to 22, +4 Aether Hub for Glint-Sleeve and Aethersphere. -2 Island, -3 Swamp.

Sideboard: Doomfall was amazing. Torment of Scarabs felt nice to play but I think it was too expensive, at three CMC or if it replaced itself in your hand it would be really strong. Bloodcrazed Paladin was unimpressive thanks to Settle the Wreckage.
