The main idea is simple: "wall" type creatures.

The Lands

The deck runs on Bant colors (green, white and blue) through 12 shock lands and 12 check lands. Standard procedure here.

The Goal

This midrange deck is built around the idea of playing many different creatures with defender, and then playing High Alert , Arcades, the Strategist , or Huatli, the Sun's Heart .

In order to properly defend yourself and your creatures, the deck has The Wanderer , which will force the opponents to either remove her first or attack with creatures (which you should be able to stop, since you have all those walls). Additionally, you have Shalai, Voice of Plenty to further your defense against burn or removal.

Cool Tech Cards

• Band Together : Provides a simple way of dealing with big creatures, such as Carnage Tyrant .
• Suncleanser : You never know when you're gonna face a crazy proliferate/explore deck.
• Huatli, the Sun's Heart : Her second ability can give you a lot of health if used properly
• The Wanderer : Her second ability can destroy any creature that would otherwise be a threat to your walls
• Shalai, Voice of Plenty + The Wanderer : If you get both of these cards into the battlefield, you're officially Bulletproof (against anything except boardclears, such as Kaya's Wrath .

The Sideboard

Pretty simple, actually.

• Gideon's Sacrifice : It's here to defend against aggresive burn such as Expansion / Explosion .
• Ravnica at War : Although it would also destroy your multicolored permanents such as Arcades, the Strategist , all your walls will remain untouched and it can provide a full boardclear against most decks.
• No Escape : counter those planeswalkers
• Negate : Counter that removal
• Dovin's Veto : c o u n t e r
