How do I deal with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn?

Modern Deck Help forum

Hello Im playing a grixis control deck, Bolas competative control and I would like some help / advise on what to sideboard to deal with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn . If my opponent tries to cast if via Through the Breach I could just counter the breach. However that only solves the problem until he/she gets enough mana to hard-cast it anyways because Through the Breach decks tend to be very rampy. The same problem comes with tron. They will eventually get enough mana to hard-cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn because my goal is to use Jace, the Mind Sculptor , Nicol Bolas, the Arisen or Liliana, the Last Hope ultimate abilities to win, and that takes some time.

Im very greatful for any help and advice I can get. Thanks in advance! :)

Through the Breach does not "cast" emrakul, and those decks never get 15 mana.

against tron, you'd have to run land destruction in your deck to prevent the Emrakul. although honestly, i think your deck is just too slow for the modern format in general.

In grixis colors id say discard shenanigans are a good idea... Surgical Extraction / Extirpate can get rid of all copies of Through the Breach and whatever creature they are cheating in. when Emrakrul goes into the GY.... Nihil Spellbomb / Leyline of the Void are other options.

Surgical Extraction in a snapcaster/ Field of Ruin deck is especially strong vs tron. I would suggest going the full 4 of ruins though.

Curious enough the best red answer to a hard-cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is, Parallectric Feedback . Not that I think it's a viable option, but rather a funny one.

I used to play a janky Dimir Infect/Control deck that ran 2-3 Devour Flesh as a troll-y way to deck to deal with strategies like Tron..

Well, BFZ(Battle for Zendikar) and Oath of the Gatewatch have plenty of Devoid removal. Devoid makes the card Colorless, so it will work.
