This deck has been edited from its original post. I have gotten a better job since then and have been able to upgrade it quite a bunch. Please let me know what you think.
Insects are the first type of creature I ever fell in love with, and the first type I ever really focused on. All of my friends originally told me that insects weren't any good, and that any deck composed of them would fail. So I made it my mission to prove them wrong. Thus gave rise to this deck. I have had this deck for over six years, tweaking it here and there, but overall it is extremely good at its job, having been is several dozen(casual) tournaments(before large upgrade) and having an extremely high victory rating. Onward to the layout!
Crop Rotation: With it I can get a blocker, a land that regenerates my creatures, or Gaea's Cradle. All at instant speed.
Unyaro Bees
: Green firebreathing, but better, combine this with Vernal Bloom or just continual mana, and its game over. Also great for blocking.
Ant Queen: Closest thing you are going to get to an insect lord. Combine with Heartstone and Blasting Station and you have an insect powered machine gun.
Scute Mob: Early game board presence. If they don't take care of this guy early on, he becomes a monster. Basically a win con on his own.
Green Sun's Zenith: Pay 0, get the Dryad Arbor, or pay much more and get whatever you want.
Natural Order: Get whatever you want, on the field!!
Wheel of Sun and Moon: Keep putting back cards like crop rotation, the zenith, or natural order meana you can keep doing it over and over!!
Hornet Queen: Another lord-ish insect. Comes into play, get an army of flying deathtouch creatures. Combine with Doubling Chant, and their creatures suddenly stop attacking.
Hornet Nest: Nobody wants to attack into this.
Vernal Bloom Lets double or triple the amount of insects Ant queen produces, shall we? Also turn five hornet queen, turn six doubling chant? Sounds good.
Essence Warden: Insane lifegain
Coat of Arms: Insects, Ant queen, tribal.
Loam Larva
: Give me land and thin my deck. Plus a good blocker early on.
Doubling Chant: What's worse then one of everything, two of everything, all at once.
Blasting Station
+
Heartstone
: Combine with Ant Queen to make an insect machine gun!
Overwhelming Stampede: Just to add insult to injury, an almost definite game ender.
Let me know what you think, I love this deck very much, and I thought you guys would to, I hope you all have a great day!
