Black and silver border mix deck. Rakdos contraptions, this deck is meant to pile on the contraptions for extra fun, turn after turn! Oni-Cult Anvil keeps up the tokens and the burn damage, while also providing fodder for the Altar of Bhaal. I've got various Riggers in the deck to assemble contraptions, which can be used for chump fodder, or even if I have a Tread Mill assembled and cranked, transform them into artifact creatures, to be sacrificed to the Oni-Cult Anvil, and then returned with the Altar to the field to trigger their assembly abilities again.

Experimental Synthesizer and Gingerbrute can provide early-game access to the Anvil's abilities.

Cogmentor provides utility later in the game, by moving contraptions around for more optimal plays. Kill! Destroy! provides removal for opposing threats, and can also be recurred from the graveyard if the opponent is caught saying "Kill" or "Destroy". Super-Duper Death Ray provides creature burn with Trample, so excess damage can ping upstairs to the opponent's face.

Boomflinger, Division Table, and Thud-for-Duds can provide burn damage each time they're cranked, while Dual Doomsuits can double this damage output. Actually, Dual Doomsuits can double the damage output of everything under my control; obviously, the one Contraption I want most to assemble while playing this deck.

In addition, cards like Hard Hat Area and Widget Contraption can aid with assembling more Contraptions. Gnomeball Machine and Rapid Prototyper can help with the Anvil in generating artifact tokens to the field, while Faerie Aerie can provide evasive tokens that, if they get in with damage, can help with draw power. The faeries can also be combined with the effect from Tread Mill to sac to the Anvil, while the Tread Mill, along with the Anvil, can also be used on the various Riggers, such as Steady-Handed Mook and Wrench-Rigger, to be reanimated at a later time, to assemble more Contraptions.

Arms Depot and Goblin Slingshot provide a much-needed boost to smaller creatures, and make it easier to get damage in on the opponent. Guest List is in there for an extra bit of spot removal. Refibrillator acts as an alternative to the Altar for creature recurrence and subsequent assembly, and Record Store can help sift through the deck for the most needed cards, which becomes more effective when you pile on more artifacts to the board.

Vexing Devil and Dreadhorde Butcher exist merely to inflict more pain and suffering on the opponent, and can become more intimidating under the effects of Contraptions such as the Goblin Slingshot and Arms Depot.

Yeah, I just love Rakdos themed decks, and wanted to build something cool, and hopefully fun to play, using Contraptions in Rakdos colors. I settled on a burn theme after looking through some of the Contraptions available, and deciding on which ones to play. This was built in an afternoon, and I'm open to suggestions!

I'm considering Shrapnel Blast as opposed to Super-Duper Death Ray as an endgame closer. Even better if the Dual Doomsuits was cranked that turn!
