Charix, CRAB OF DOOM (Modern MTG Deck)

Just another spin of the Toughness swap strategy. The main idea is to have cheap creatures with lots of toughness, whom get to attack once cards like High Alert, Huatli, the Sun's Heart, Gauntlets of Light come into play. Which are easily tutored via Drift of Phantasms whom itself is a tough defender!

8x counter the spot removal AND draw a card:

4x Hindering Light

4x Keep Safe

8x Big tough creatures:

2x Charix, Raging Isle: really freaking big and can defend almost anything. And also hit like a truck.

2x Wall of Frost: great defender and extremely high toughness/cost ratio with a cool effect.

4x Nyx-Fleece Ram: super cost efficient defender with life gain and is not limited with Defender.

4x Dragon's Eye Savants: pick this for it's toughness cost ratio and not having a defender tag.
