Sideboard

With Silversmote Ghoul replacing Bloodghast , we can ditch Life from the Loam without feeling too bad, and with it, the expensive manabase dredge normally plays.

Running 12 mountains and 4 Graven Cairns gives us roughly the same access to red mana as tier dredge lists, while 4 Dakmor Salvage and the aforementioned Graven Cairns provides us with enough access to black mana in the mid-to-late game. Of note is the fact that Graven Cairns , unlike whatever B/R duals we might run, can filter black mana from Dakmor Salvage into the double red needed to escape Ox of Agonas .

On the other hand, having so few black sources means it can be difficult to side into early discard like Thoughtseize or budget replacement Duress . So instead we run Stain the Mind , which is slower but potentially more devastating against combo decks, and importantly can be cast off our recursive creatures.

Previously a downside of this deck compared to standard dredge was the lack of green sideboard cards, especially enchantment removal. However, for some reason, black now gets that in Feed the Swarm .

All said, Hyper-Budget Dredge is about as powerful as tier dredge, but at a tiny fraction of the cost. If you have any recommendations, please let me know!
