Esper thematic deck - Let's work in the Foundry

Modern Artifact Budget Theme/Gimmick WUB (Esper)

Sideboard

This is an Esper artifacts deck with the theme of a chain production behind it. It's playable in modern but it's mostly a casual just for fun deck.

Main strategy is to get Thopter Foundry and Summoning Station out on the field with the help of Etherium Sculptors and Springleaf Drums. Once you got those, you can start feeding Myr Servitors and Epochrasites to the foundry, spawning a token with the S.Station every time a Thopter enters the battlefield. Also remember that, if you have a Servitor on the field and some of them in the graveyard, that means more Tokens from the Summoning Station, just remember to tap it when Myr's effect triggers!

Trinket Mage helps finding your Servitors and Drums, while Fabricate helps finding your combo pieces and Glassdust Hulk can be cycled just for 1 mana. You can always bring him back with Soul Manipulation, if needed.

About Salvaging Station: with it you can bring back your Drums from the graveyard and it gets untapped every time a creature dies, so you can:

  1. add 1 mana with the drum

  2. sac the drum

  3. return it with the station

  4. add mana again

  5. sac it again

  6. sac a creature

  7. rinse and repeat

It's at least 3 thopters (and maybe 3 spawns) for just 1 mana and possibly a free Salvage Titan.

How do you win with this deck? Do you win at all? Honestly, idk, still have to build it and try it, but theorethically you can:

  • Swarm the board with Thopters and Spawns;

  • Stomp the board early with Salvage Titans;

  • Go for heavy unblockable attacks with Glassdust Hulk buffed from all the artifacts you can play with;

On top of that there is a little bit of control to make sure your pieces stays on the board unharmed.

Lands: Given the fact that you don't really need much colored mana, i think that painlands are best suited for this deck to also keep it pretty budget. Pretty often you will just tap them for colorless so the 1dmg isn't much of a drawback. Evolving wilds to thin the deck and fix colours if needed.

Sideboard: I included a bit more control with more copies of our counters, a way to deal with combo decks and enchantments with Esper Charm, Ethersworn Shieldmage to have an answer to mass clear like Anger of the Gods or Pyroclasm, Ethersworn Adjudicator -Doom Blade in case you need some removal and Leonin Squire to recycle Hope of Ghirapur against control and if you find that Myr Servitors are getting cleared up a bit too often
