So, I've run multiple versions of Esper and this is my favorite one by far. Blood Baron: nothing can keep up with him, plus his lifelink makes up for the life lost from thoughtseize and shock lands. All of the other cards are self-explanatory.

Reasons for not running the basic esper build:

Azorius Charm: I used to love azorius charm, however as the meta changed I grew to hate it. It's just personal preference that I choose not to run it, but my deck seems to be a lot better.
