This deck is trying to be a budget deck that aims to stall till late game through lifegain. There are many effects that reduce my opponent's life while increasing my own, such as extort, Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Debt to the Deathless, as well as lifelink from Blood Baron of Vizkopa. Hopefully I can ramp up enough with Crypt Ghast to power a huge Debt and win through there, if not the Baron gets in for the beats.

I was considering dropping the Baron as he's really expensive, but I can't think of a good enough bomb to replace him. Obzedat, Ghost Council is just as expensive.

Sideboard Choices:
Pithing Needle for planeswalkers, AEtherling, Aristocrats and Gods if necessary. All will fall to the 1 mana artifact!
Illness in the Ranks is great against being swarmed by small tokens. Abhorrent Overlord? Nope.
Ray of Dissolution is honestly not the best card, but I can't think of a better one that can get rid of annoying cards like the weapons of the Gods.
Rest in Peace explains itself
Ajani, Caller of the Pride in case I find myself not needing a lot of removal, such as against control decks.
Dark Betrayal is for when Doom Blade falls short.
