Primeval Light after getting Enchanted Evening online is tough to recover from. It's gimmicky but devastating.

I do enjoy Primeval Light. Currently Scour is filling the role that card would play, but I could see pairing down to two copies of each in the near future.

How does it play against burn?

Interestingly, If you start the game with Providence then burn is a non-issue.

If you don't have Providence in hand to start then you can try for Pariah + Stuffy Doll to make a burn strategy ineffective.

In any other case, the burn-opponent will need to win by turn 5 or 4 which is very difficult.

I have previously commented on this brew before and still love the brew and the philosophy. I have been brewing with the same concept and a card that I am using that may be of interest to you is Glittering Wish. A wishboard/sideboard comprising of answers like Detention Sphere, Privileged Position, Sigarda, Heron's Grace,Sigarda, Host of Herons,Dovescape to name a few can be pretty interesting... Admittedly though it can be a bit slow... But I felt it was worth revisiting this deck and mentioning.

I love Glittering Wish! I'm actually using a set in a Simic Biovisionary deck at the moment.

I suppose you've thought about stuff like this, but something I always wanted to try with Enchanted Evening was comboing the next turn with first Faith's Reward followed by a now-free Patrician's Scorn. Wipes out their entire side of the field and yours, but puts all your stuff right back.

Firebird

I much prefer the Enchanted Evening + Heroic Intervention + Paraselene combo. Fr less mana to use AND you get life for each enchantment destroyed.

I have it in this deck Ultimate Bant Spring Cleaning which was originally based off of OPs deck haha.

I like your combination, Firebird. It's a lot of fun, but you could play Patrician's Scorn in the same turn you drop Enchanted Evening to uncomplicated the process.

All of these suggestions are interesting to play with. I still prefer Echoing Calm and Scour for heavy removal since I picked up the Snow Basic Lands.

How does it play against tron decks?

boomycastle, If you know your opponent is playing Tron then you can trade out the 2 Fog on the main board for the extra Oblivion Ring and trade out one copy each of Sunbond and SpikeFeeder for the 2 Angel's Grace to give yourself more breathing room.

The general set-up will still work in a blind matc. So this is a way to ensure a strong second-hand (or third if you need it).

Further, it is actually easier to draw against Tron because that strategy, while it can be fast, is usually only trying to strike you directly. So in tournament play against this kind of deck I would ask my opponent how they did in the previous rounds. If they have the same points as you or less then a draw can be tactically sound.

To determine your points in a tournament (assuming it's a WotC event which uses the Swiss system) you get 3 points for winning a round and 1 point for drawing a round. If it's the finals then drawing forces an extra hand to be played until there is no longer a draw.

so pretty much just stall and tie?

No, it's easier to draw but the probability that you'll win is the same as any other match-up.

Several opening-hand combinations will give you a win by turn 5 which means a Tron player has to spend their resources to stop you rather than to help themselves. If they focus on keeping their attacker buffed and protected then you are more likely to achieve a winning battlefield-state.

We have too many bogle players, how does this handle that?

Switch these in from the sideboard:

2 Scour 2 Angel's Grace 2 Fog 2 Oblivion Ring 2 Echoing Calm

Replace these:One each of Ajani's Chosen, Blasting Station, Stuffy Doll, Pariah and Providence, as well as the three Spike Feeder and two Sunbond.

What you should try to do is use Scour on their lands as soon as you can, and try to get some creatures through to attack.

the Blasting Stations are a bit random. allot of board wipe and only 4 artifacts doing 1 dmg a piece at the cost of a creature. try Ixalan's Binding. exile one thing and prevent opponent from casting same spell as exiled thing.

ticked-off-squirrel, I think you need to read the deck description. Blasting Station does enough damage to end the game every time I use it.

Have you ever considered using Aura Thief in this concept? Just curious, because with Enchanted Evening in play you could sac it to Blasting Station and gain control of all permanents; including lands.

Wait nevermind, I don't think Aura thief is modern legal.

Names the deck "Diplomatic Immunity" and doesn't even have Diplomatic Immunity in the deck smh

Ashletta I named the deck after Diplomatic Immunity because the main strategy is basically like giving the player and every permanent they control an emblem for Shroud.
