The goal of this deck is to utilize landfall to quickly overpower an opponent. Most of the permanents utilize the landfall mechanic. Creatures, such as Brushfire Elemental can be buffed up rather quickly. Also, this deck is pretty budget friendly.

Creatures

  • Akoum Hellhound - One of two landfall creatures that only cost one. It starts off as a measly 0/2, but can become imposing when used with Evolving Wilds and/or Vastwood Surge.

  • Blitz Hellion - A great kick of powerful offense. It can also be played rather quickly when everything clicks.

  • Brushfire Elemental - Another creature that can get quite powerful from landfall. It can also bypass most chump blockers, making it great to get out and attacking early.

  • Kazandu Mammoth   - A landfall creature with a 3/3 base. This can become a 7/7 just from playing/sacrificing an Evolving Wilds. Conversely be used as a land instead.

  • Lotus Cobra - It's landfall ability can help get some bigger spells played earlier.

  • Mina and Denn, Wildborn - Although it may not have landfall itself, both of this card's ability compliment it well. They can be used together if there isn't an extra land already in hand. It can also be used with Ramunap Excavator to effectively use Evolving Wilds twice per turn allowing for landfall to be triggered four times.

  • Rabbit Battery - A great card to give a small buff up to other creatures for just a single {r}, while also giving them haste, which can be useful to quickly attack with Kazandu Mammoth   if landfall has been triggered on it.

  • Ramunap Excavator - The perfect creature to go with Evolving Wilds. As mentioned earlier this also pairs up well with Mina and Denn, Wildborn, to easily get four landfall triggers.

  • Scythe Leopard - The other one drop landfall creature, along with Akoum Hellhound.

  • Territorial Scythecat - The landfall creature that is buffed with +1/+1 counters, rather than "until end of turn".

  • Thundering Raiju - This can be a good way to buff up other creatures with +1/+1 counters while also dealing some extra damage directly.

Instants & Sorceries

Enchantments

  • Footfall Crater - This can be a great way to speed up the flow of the deck, either with haste or cycling to keep card draw going.

Lands

  • Evolving Wilds - As stated earlier this can be used, under certain circumstances, to quickly get four landfall triggers.

  • Forgotten Cave - The cycling on this, and other lands, combined with Ramunap Excavator can be very helpful. In said scenario, cycling can be used first, than it be played again from the graveyard to avoid a missed land drop.

  • Sheltered Thicket - Everything said about Forgotten Cave can be said about this card. However, this card is a mountain and a first as well.

  • Tranquil Thicket - Again, same things can be said about this as Forgotten Cave.
