So I narrowed down the maybeboard and I swapped out a couple cards to throw in a few cards I thought were better. Last changes were:
-1 Tidal Kraken, -1 High Tide, and -1 Island
+1 Roil Elemental, +1 Dominating Licid, and +1 Mindlock Orb
I also added in a "sideboard" of cards that I'm most likely going to buy when I buy the deck because I feel like they all could be really strong in this deck but against certain matchups and circumstances. Might end up throwing one or two in the mainboard, but for now I'm happy with the deck as it is.
Card prices to watch: Rite of Replication - $1.95
Arcanis ( at least the printing displayed ) is not legal - is that the printing you use?

Maringam thanks for noticing! I try and list the right printing to avoid confusion but TappedOut is finicky with the prices. Sometimes the price fits the printing, other times it just chooses one price and sticks with it no matter what printing I choose. I listed Arcanis as the dual decks printing but the price reflects the other printing :/
Thanks again though, there have been enough times where I have put an overpriced card on the list without realizing it!

I love it! Braids is probably the commander i am going to build a deck for because it is fun having political decks in my playgroup! my friends are either going to hate me or love me every game!

big_kahuna333 Thanks! I really love the idea of Braids for that exact reason! That's why she's probably going to be the next commander deck I build once I land a job =).
Hope this helped you get some great ideas for a Braids deck and, as always, if you're not playing specifically for the 2DH format, there are some amazing cards you can throw in such as:
Cyclonic Rift, Caged Sun, Phyrexian Metamorph, Clever Impersonator, Sol Ring, Lightning Greaves, Mimic Vat, and all the other big baddies like Eldrazi and Darksteel/Blightsteel Colossus.
Best of luck with her!

I have a non-budget version of Braids, and it is one of my favorite decks. For this, you seem to have your bases covered but I see some things that might help.
- Seat of the Synod + Darksteel Citadel seem pretty pointless without any artifact tutoring. They would probably both be better as Islands.
- Sleeper card idea - Oracle's Insight - activating this in response to Braids triggering seems like a lot of value
In my build I do a lot of symmetrical draw effects, but it combo wins so that doesn't fit as well for you.

Wow, really good catch. I swore up and down that I threw Trinket Mage in this deck so I could tutor up Library of Leng or Wayfarer's Bauble and had those lands so that I wouldn't whiff off of it. Turns out I had neither Trinket Mage or Wayfarer's Bauble in my deck, so I'm really confused as to how I thought I had either of those in my deck. Must have taken them both out at some point. Instead of adding Trinket Mage back into the deck I'll just replace them with Islands like you suggested.
That is a really good idea! I was looking for more upkeep draw effects on a budget but there didn't seem to be any ones that I would use. Oracle's Insight is an interesting idea and I'll try and find space for it.
Thanks again, great suggestions on both accounts. I'll give your deck a look and see your take on it too!

Braids, Communism Adept just something to offer to look at. It's my build less budget but you might get some ideas! Cheers! +1

Casey4321 Hey! Thanks for the comment and upvote =). Sorry it took so long to get around to your comment, haven't actually been on tappedout in a while (except using the phone app to deckcycle).
I love your take on Braids! The cards you have in there are really solid and has given me a few ideas. Mostly I just really like your "return to hand" cards like Devastation Tide, AEtherize, and AEtherspouts and I'm trying to find places for them in the deck. I'm also considering Temple Bell for some draws at my opponent's end step but not sure quite yet. Great deck!
xantibean Glad you like it! I love the original elder dragons and was considering making my own list for them just because of how important they are to the format and no one I know uses them. Good on you for using them; makes EDH interesting and flavorful!
