Finally got em. —Feb. 5, 2016

Finally got a hold of 4x Horizon Canopy quite excited makes a lot of the dead draws later game a lot better now if the game lasts that long...

I use Crystallization instead of plowshare. Casting it controls the creature and I get an aura trigger. Then if I still need to exile the creature I'll just blow a weak enchantment on it. That exiles the creature and gives me another aura trigger.

juxtaminute I'm really choosey with this deck and that feels like I need 2 cards to deal with something instead of 1 like Spirit Link or Path to Exile the former making burn laughable when they play an Eidolon and realise they're healing me any time they cast something. I'd have to give up important slots for a pacify basically which I don't feel is useful in most circumstances.

I can't say I would of thought of Spirit Linking an Eidolon of the Great Revel, lol.

Good deck, but for your SB, I think you can drop Stony Silence for Suppression Field because it still renders Spellskite useless, and it also renders Twin and Affinity relatively useless as well.

I run 4x Suppression Field in my deck, The 11th Plague of the Multiverse , it helps the budget and frees up more cards in the SB, I would suggest trading it out pehaps for Celestial Purge.

Great deck though

Bovine073 I am running Suppression Field MB. Honestly wouldn't even know what to put in my sideboard I feel I have a lot covered. Suppression Field runs out of gas late game when people have more than enough lands in play to pay the activation cost whereas Stony Silence just outright destroys any plans of using Artifacts. Kor Firewalker would probably be the only thing I could think of to add really.

What do you think about Fog for SB against Heavy Aggro/Infect?

Bovine073 Heavy aggro has never really been too much of an issue. I've found bogles has a pretty sting matchup against zoo/elves/company etc. majority of the time you're swinging for far more than them a lot faster too. It's definitely something I'd consider for infect seeing as that is probably the worst matchup for me.

Last modern tournament I was playing a bogles deck like this against lantern control and had a over 200/200 spirit dancer that couldnt attack through a turn 2 bridge

grasshopper021 rofl that is pretty priceless. It's a shame stuff like Ensnaring Bridge is hard to counter pre sideboard xD.

Have you thought about adding Umbra Mystic? She is great if you are working with enchantments.

Ulturas says... #10

Jack-Frost ultimately she's very easy to get rid of, same with Kor Spiritdancer but I gain a lot more utility. I actually already use a lot of umbras as well with Hyena Umbra and Spider Umbra usually around 3-4 ofs.

can you afford horizon canopy?

January 11, 2016 7:45 p.m.

Ulturas says... #12

BobTheStrong not at the moment I definitely want to get them because drawing into lands late game is pretty useless at least canopy has that utility to draw you a card.

What's your opinion on Nature's Claim vs the new oath of the gatewatch's Natural State?

January 12, 2016 7:21 a.m.

Ulturas says... #14

Jack-Frost both pretty situational I prefer Nature's Claim because it hits Wurmcoil Engine, Splinter Twin, Hive Mind, Sundering Titan etc. I imagine Natural State will still be used over claim because there are no downsides and your opponent doesn't gain life. Claim feels safe though imo because it'll always hit its target.

That's what I was thinking. Granted we'll have to see how the meta shifts when Oath of the Gatewatch comes out.

I'm a bogles pilot myself and I will still prefer the Claim - though not exactly the best way of using it, but you can side it in against a burn deck as a way of gaining some life in case you can't just race them. As I said, not optimal, but a like it because of the possibility it grants.

jorjo10 admittedly I've done that a few times as well... Just getting rid of a crappy Hyena Umbra or something similar. Or if they're targeting something with Destructive Revelry. It works great as removal for Eidolon of the Great Revel as well. I still find the interaction with Eidolon and Spirit Link hilarious it actually wins you games against burn as well.

Why 3xWindswept Heath and 2xWooded Foothills rather than 4xWindswept Heath and 1xWooded Foothills? It's cheaper and you can't get a basic plains with Wooded Foothills.

jamesfiek was just what I had at the time man. I agree though. Need to get another Heath at some point.
