Ramping to large artifacts like Wurmcoil Engine and possibly Phyrexian Colossus, maybe some others...Steel Overseer is there to buff the smaller creatures in order to fend off until the larger creatures can come out. Venser the Sojourner is there for dropping and making everything unblockable and flashing Colossus would be very nice as well, negating its untapping drawback. Also exiling things is usually very nice. And True Conviction because double strike.
