Athreos (Standard MTG Deck)

The whip seems awkward to me, mostly because there isn't anything the would make it worth it to use it's ability. I'm not sure what to put in otherwise. I was thinking maybe 1 Ghost Council would be good. My husband plays esper and uses Hero's Downfall so instead I have Banishing Light for PW. There's only 22 mana which seems a bit iffy but all CMCs are 4 or below. Anyways thanks for any advice.
