If you want to make it competitive I'd say add 4 Cavern of Souls , 4 Hallowed Fountain , blue fetch lands, add Cryptic Command 's, Remand 's, maybe Mana Leak , switch Vapor Snag to Repeal , maybe even AEther Vial 's, I would remove Avian Changeling , Caller of Gales , Goldenglow Moth , Dissipation Field Purity , Wall of Denial , Wanderwine Prophets . I would increase the Lord of Atlantis to four, same with Master of the Pearl Trident and maybe add Phantasmal Image . but that's for competitive if you want to keep it casual it look like a fun build.

cronisloire: You've given me a lot to think about! I definitely agree about the lands, I'm hoping I'll have the cash to get them soon, the same goes for AEther Vial . I'm also considering somehow streamlining the counter-type spells I have and am going to be removing the Avian Changeling in favor of Master of the Pearl Trident , I've been meaning to do that for a while. Thanks for taking a moment to look and comment! :)

By the way, if you wanna counter spells, I recomend Counterspell (there's a new one that was printed in the Jace vs. Chandra duel deck, the code here is [DD2], but I can't choice the version of the card to show you in this comment.) xD

@ knownasnieves Thanks, waking up to a compliment in the morning is always nice :3
@ Cadois Ah yes, old reliable... Is it considered modern legal? Eep, I just checked and it's not. I mostly use this deck for just casual play so I probably wouldn't hear any grumbling about it- but even if I don't use it in this I'll probably get some for the new art and non-white border. Those old white borders stick out like a sore thumb.. :/

The cool thing here is, if you did go the Stonybrook Schoolmaster route, you could add in something like, Drowner of Secrets and then all you'd need is something like Intruder Alarm to go infinite, if you're into that kind of thing. Either way, the tokens are nice with Wanderwine Prophets .

It has already been said, but Stormtide Leviathan could help a lot

jminute14 Thanks for the tip! Even though I'm not going to be doing it now, I always am into learning new combos and things like that. :D

+1 Merfolk are so cool. Sygg, River Guide could be a nice addition, have you considered him? He's pretty damn cheap too. Good deck :)

@ Odette: I did have him in the initial build of this deck, I only have one copy so he got shuffled out along the way. I just checked my local card shop and they have a copy, so I think I'm going to get a 2nd copy and see if I can get him a spot. I've been meaning to rethink some of the spells I have anyway, plus in my actual deck I'm pretty sure I only have 3 Merrow Reejerey and 3 Merfolk Sovereign which means I've got open spots. Thanks for the thought!
@ Kasta96 I have thought about using him, my feelings on it are mixed. I think he could fit in just fine, but usually I've found with this deck by the time I get like 6-7 lands out the game is over for my opponent unless they find a way to deal with the whole Islandwalk thing. One option I've thought about is possibly taking out some of the spells I have and putting in Stormtide Leviathan along with card:Quest for Ula's Temple. But for now I think they are just going to remain thoughts, and both those cards on my 'to buy' list (I don't own them.). Thanks for viewing and commenting! :)

@honeypeanuts300 I've been meaning to fix my instants and sorceries, as I don't think just having one of a card is going to help much. Though I don't think this deck has enough of them to really utilize Talrand, Sky Summoner . Thanks for taking a min to check my deck out. :)

I don't know if these were mentioned, but Coralhelm Commander and Merrow Commerce would be perfect additions to this deck.

@ Mustache90 Both of those cards have come under my scrutiny, of the two I prefer Merrow Commerce. Unfortunately my deckbuilding has come to a standstill because my Boyf got laid off the job, and I'm the type who prefers to post actual living decks... Thanks for the view and comment! :)

@ RedCloud2012 Thanks! Well as far as your deck, if you remember I did comment on it like 2 days ago. I noticed you said you might be taking it to an event in Fenton, MI.(I live in Toledo, Oh). And I like to play standard, not just modern. Lately I haven't got to do much though other than just play around on Tapped Out every morning, cuz I'm like mega-broke right now. T_T Anyway, good luck with your deck I will check back to see how things go with it.

I really enjoy multi-colored merfolk, and this is a fun deck.
Sejiri Merfolk could make a good little smacker in here if you so desired, though you've already got a lot of really solid 2-drops.
+1!

@ Discoduck Love your screenname, btw. I used to have pet ducks as a child. Happy memories. :)
I'd like to get some copies of Sejiri Merfolk. If I don't mainboard them, they definitely would be on the top of the list for sideboard choices. Thanks for the comment and +1!!

Ah, always refreshing to find a fellow "tribalist". :D Nice deck. Also, don't you just love it when Wizards gives you loopholes? Lord of Atlantis now has a twin brother: Master of the Pearl Trident!!! Reminds me of the Llanowar Elves and Fyndhorn Elves copycat-ery. Fun stuff. :)

@ Xindlepete I remember you.. I looked at your 'gobby deck' (as you call it) the other day. I'm slowly gathering up goblin cards, as I hope to build one of my own someday.
Yeah, I really hope that Wizards ups the ante a little as far as things like merfolk and faeries are concerned. I mean Lorwyn-Shadowmoor block was like a girl's wet dream, I always say. And Fyndhorn Elves was one of the first cards I ever owned- though I have to say the artist's illustration never quite lived up to my 'tolkien-esque' expectations. Ah, memories. Thanks for stopping by! :)

It's too bad High Tide never got reprinted. That always made dealing with merfolk decks a pain.
