Standard elf deck, I tried to reduce what I'm using in sets rotating soon but some are just so good I had to use them.

Deck idea and why scavenge with Golgari? Show

The basic idea is that of any Elf deck really. You swarm the board with fast elves, Buff them, and swing for the win. I chose Golgari for some needed board control and Poison-Tip Archer. Poison-Tip makes the opponent think twice about board clearing or they will eat a good chunk of damage. Black also gives us some options in the sideboard with more control in Duress. It also allows us recursion with Isareth the Awakener and Journey to Eternity  . Another good reason for Golgari is when we return to Ravnica yet again we are seeing Golgari first and will hopefully get some nice upgrades. I chose to limit my inclusion of stuff rotating then to a few cards.

I play both Viviens because they both provide interesting pieces to the deck.

Vivien of the Arkbow works incredibly well with Rishkar, Peema Renegade and especially Marwyn, the Nurturer. THe +1/+1 counters make our creatures bigger, tap for mana, or combo with her -3 to gives us more board control which is very nice. Her Ultimate is just gravy on top allowing us to overrun our opponent.

Vivien Reid gives us search with her +1 to thin the deck of either a creature or another land. Her -3 just like the last one gives us some needed control. Lastly her ultimate is the I win button if you are allowed to get it off.
