Rona, Tolarian Obliterator

Legendary Creature — Phyrexian Wizard

Trample

Whenever a source deals damage to Rona, Tolarian Obliterator, that source's controller exiles a card from their hand at random. If it's a land card, you may put it onto the battlefield under your control. Otherwise you may cast it without paying its mana cost.

Here's a few idea pitches off the top of my head:

Marchesa, the Black Rose or Don Andres, the Renegadefoil theft: survives removal and board wipes easily, saltiness depends on how much your pod likes having their stuff taken away

Xavier Sal, Infested Captain combo: non-infinite combo options like Intruder Alarm or Corpsejack Menace, generally low salt

Yarok, the Desecrated blink value: lots of directions to build in, plenty of control options

That Rona, Tolarian Obliterator  Flip combo I mentioned: dump your deck for per card

Vren, the Relentless sacrifice: wants lots of removal, flexible win con

If one of those looks interesting, go ahead and use it as a base.

What kind of combo are you looking for?

Lock combos (something like Teferi's Puzzle Box + Notion Thief or Arcane Laboratory + Knowledge Pool) are pretty close to Stax and tend to lead to saltiness, but are as control-combo as you can get.

Instant win combos (Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank or Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond, for example) end the game fast, but need to be supported a little more, especially if the pieces don't do much by themselves.

"Open-ended" non-infinite combos (Rona, Tolarian Obliterator  Flip + Pestilence + Body of Knowledge) are the least salt-inducing, as long as you can finish them in a reasonable time, but they might not close out the game.

Suppose I equip Nemesis Mask to a creature and attack with it. My opponent declares all their creatures as blockers and I can choose how to assign the damage dealt by my attacking creature among their blockers. Suppose my attacking creature is Rona, Tolarian Obliterator  Flip and I want as many of my opponents creatures as possible to deal damage to her. Do all blocking creatures deal damage to her regardless of how I choose to assign attacking damage? Or do only the creatures I assign attacking damage to deal damage to Rona? If the ladder is the answer, could I distribute the 5 damage among 5 creatures even if 1 damage is not lethal for some or all of those blockers?

Fiery Confluence is different. If the caster chooses the first mode 3 times, what they'll get is an effect that says "Fiery Confluence deals 1 damage to each creature. Fiery Confluence deals 1 damage to each creature. Fiery Confluence deals 1 damage to each creature." These are 3 separate damage events and will cause Rona, Tolarian Obliterator  Flip's ability to trigger 3 times.
