Nicol Bolas normally controls the darker arts (and darker colors, like , , and because he is a mind mage). When the forces of good get a hold of his Zombie-making gift, Bolas finds he is unable to keep the horde of zombies from overwhelming his own forces.

In this deck, you build a small army with cards like Slither Blade, Glint-Nest Crane (which doubles as a filter to get a God-Pharaoh's Gift in hand), and Channeler Initiate (which helps with mana ramp too), then as they die, the God-Pharaoh's Gift begins to bring them back, stronger than before. A 4/4 Slither Blade? Yes please. A 4/4 Cloudblazer that gives me 2 cards and 2 life, and has Haste? Yes sir!
