The Consulate is still in control here!

So, keeping in the theme of my last Standard deck; control is key.

Early game:

Removal and hand disruption is important. Getting card advantage is also key. You have enough removal to make quick work of your opponent's board, so don't hesitate to use them. Throwing down Lili will take the pressure of you while your opponent focuses on her. If you can keep here in play work your way to her Ultimate.

Mid-game:

This is where the fun begins; you have Avaycn, you have Sorin, you have Gids, you have alot of options. You should have enough to keep your opponent from crowding the board; but if it gets too crowded Expertise and away you go.

Late-game:

If you get this far you're probably in good shape; keep poking away with your man-lands and creatures and you should be ok for the win. If you can get your gearhulk down it's going to get better by whacking their biggest threat

Your sideboard is tilted towards stopping the cat combo, vehicles, and superfriends. Don't be afraid to side out big bombs if required

As always, +1 if you like

Updates Add

After getting shut-out on Saturday with my Esper deck I decided to take this deck for a spin and it didn't do any better.

The meta is alot of argo decks. This deck can stop it; but I kept keeping bad draws and getting mana screwed early on.

I'll be looking at this deck again and see what needs to change
