Thanks for the suggestions, dr.kronski ! I have had those thoughts as well :) I picked Planar Void for a very specific reason over Leyline of the Void or Dauthi Voidwalker. Mainly to take advantage of the fact that with Planar Void things still hit the graveyard. Leyline and Dauthi are replacement effects so cards never hit the graveyard so things like Undead Alchemist or Lazav, Dimir Mastermind wouldn't trigger. Lantern of the Lost and Relic of Progenitus are good but I picked Soul-Guide Lantern because I could activate it without extra mana (just tapping it). Lithoform Engine is something to consider!

Very creative and well-curated deck! I don’t really have any suggestions that you probably haven’t already considered or that would meaningfully improve the deck, but I’ll still leave a few that came to mind and might eventually make sense: Relic of Progenitus, Lantern of the Lost, Dauthi Voidwalker, Leyline of the Void, Lithoform Engine…

And I have to confess that while I absolutely love the Elektra version of Massacre Girl, I absolutely DESPISE the black widow version of Dauthi Voidwalker.

So I think I DO understand where you (and lots of other folks, too!) are coming from re: Universes Beyond ...

As a small point of order, we still have Daulthi (Dauthi Voidwalker is from Modern Horizons 2).

But yeah, they're an INSANELY cool Creature type and I wish we had more of them :-/

This looks fun, I don't see much mono black love anymore. I'm out of the loop, but my friend had a nasty deck years ago with Phyrexian Obliterator, though it doesn't necessarily add value beyond itself like some of your other choices (Dauthi Voidwalker looks wild). He also ran Sign in Blood, which while not as fancy as some other draw options, was pretty consistent considering its low cost.

These aren't really suggestions, mostly thinking aloud. Nice deck +1

Thanks for all the suggestions! Never seen Yahenni's Expertise before, it is really good, will definitely remove Languish for it.

Might change Ulcerate for Sudden Spoiling, not just for the effect but split second is really good at fighting other control decks, as you said, super useful tech.

Good point about Cabal Stronghold, definitely changing it for Buried Ruin.

Never thought about Helm of Obedience with Dauthi Voidwalker, super cool combo, I'll definitely include it in the deck.

I'll take a look at what to remove for the other suggestions, they are all definitely top choices and I completely agree should be in the deck.
