i love the Warhammer universe unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to play the phantasy game. I'm new to magic and I've been told its best for me to play with cards that thematically appease me .

so i would like info on cards thatd be good if i wanted to do something with orcs and goblins . and also if i wanted to make something with knights and thier weapons .

Orcs will be difficult because there aren't many good ones. Goblins however are large in quantity and very fun and fit the destructive play style of the orks in warhammer. Knights are pretty easy to make as well along with some nice artifacts that fit their cause.

I have an Orc deck if you're looking for inspiration: Dash, Boy, Dash. I wouldn't necessarily describe it as good, but it's at least functional.

I'd suggest that finding a commander you like is a key thing - mono red is easiest for goblins (orcs are mostly very bad - Khans of Tarkir had a limited number of good ones, but in years gone by they were reallllly bad and tended to do more harm to you than your opponent!). Mono white is easiest for knights/soldiers.

I'd recommend visiting edhrec.com - an awesome resource for Commander.

Some suggestions for good red goblin commanders are:

Krenko, Mob Boss (very aggressive, very powerful, very likely to make your opponents complain, very much a target for every piece of removal in a game). Works really well if you want to do lots of comobos.

Ib Halfheart, Goblin Tactician has awesome flavour - he make all your gobbos go booom!! This always felt like a very Warhammer goblin to me.

Zada, Hedron Grinder can be easier to build if you're new to Magic, as he can do hideous things with lots of common/uncommon spells that don't cost lots of money to buy.

I have less experience with knights/soldiers, but you could always try:

Darien, King of Kjeldor who can do really nasty things with the right cards.

Mrton Stromgald - a favourite of mine, but a bit of a glass sledgehammer (they get really hurt if you hit them with it, but it is very fragile)!
