I see now that lobber crew is for rakdos, but I still think that Boros Reckoner would fit better in his slot. You'd need a better mana base I think to get three red by turn three, perhaps a set of mana confluence and/or R/B temple. But I never see red/x midrange decks that don't run him, as he actually can get damage on the opponent nearly every single turn much more effectively than lobber crew. If you attack, they either hit him with a downfall/bile blight or have to block/use a burn spell, in which they get hit either way if that's when you need to summon rakdos T4. Perhaps the keyrune should be taken out, as I don't see ramp being all that necessary to your game plan when you can already have one of 5 6/6 fatties with flying out by T4/5 without it. Keyrune is much better as a built in 3/3 that can do absurd damage to the opponent and gain first strike for R.

Thanks Isntitizzet!! I'll definitely swap Lobber Crew and Boros Reckoner I didn't give him much thought, now it's just a matter if time till I get a playset of him. I wish I had 40$ to get 4x Mana Confluence but I'll see what I can do, so I'll probably get Temple of Malice Yea I only use Rakdos Keyrune (hes a 3/1 but I know what you meant) every once in a while it's not nessessary. So I'd probably add 1x Rakdos, Lord of Riots 1x Desecration Demon and 2 more spells of some sort? If I made this modern do you have any musts?

Sounds cool in theory, but to devote more cards to making their lands swamps doesn't sounds like my thing. Cool idea though! It doesn't want to let me link your username for some reason lol

Love it! It's really similar to mine, but this one focus totally on Master of Cruelty, and that's awesome. +1!

Javaz hey thanks man! I check it out. I'm trying to tweak the mana base I think I'll play 2 Rogue's Passage because if I have 2 on the field it's pointless and I need to make sure to trigger Dragonskull Summit. And it's not nessessary to win but it'll be nice

You should play a good amount of Rogue's Passage, because nothing garantees your opponent doesn't block. But other than that, this deck needs to be put on the banned list it's so good!

FAMOUSWATERMELON Alright Rogue's Passage is back to 3 lol. klone13 I have considered Thundermaw Hellkite how well does it work? Olivia Voldaren seems more of a tribal vampire and to more effectively have her steal ability I'd capitalize on making their creatures vampires other ways. But thanks a lot guys!

I'd suggest a Cavern of Souls or two so your demons can't be countered. +1 I like the idea behind the deck.

slemulv Cavern of Souls looks cool I'd probably run 2 if I did maybe 1, what should I take out? If I run one I'd just take out a Rogue's Passage, or maybe a Graven Cairns(I haven't bought them yet) and if I get one that's probably what I'll do.

Rodfjell says... #13

SpartanCEL, I'd personally suggest you take out a Graven Cairns because it's a mana fixer and so is Cavern of Souls but with the added benefit of making that demon uncounterable (and you can more likely make it unblockable next turn with 3x Rogue's Passage instead of two).

slemulv It makes sense so I'll keep Rogue's Passage at three and cut a Graven Cairns. If I ended up getting 2 in the future should I cut another Graven Cairns? Well I have to play for my Church so Merry Christmas eve I'll be back in an hour or so

Rodfjell says... #15

SpartanCEL, I would cut another of the Graven Cairns if you added another Cavern of Souls.

Bump in the Night instead of Lightning Bolt would help in balancing your devotion. Though it can't target creatures it will still help you cast Rakdos, Lord of Riots and has flashback.

slemulv so I ended up receiving money from my organist, I didn't expect it at all. So if I added 3 Cavern of Souls and another basic(my ideology is to make sure to have swamps and stuff for Dragonskull Summit) how would that sound? That's completely taking out Graven Cairns and assuming I still get what I think I will from my family. Bump in the Night's a good card but I like the instant spead, and early removal. We have the mana for red so I should hopefully be alright. Hey thanks a bunch for all your help!

Rodfjell says... #17

SpartanCEL, you still probably want that Graven Cairns in there for the non-demon spells in the deck. Getting the demons on the field is key, but not being able to cast one of the other spells could be in issue so I'd keep one in there. Np. Merry Christmas!

SpartanCEL says... #18

slemulv Yea I'm starting to reconsider Cavern of Souls anyway for the price, and if I don't get the right land i can't get the other spells like you said. I can live without the uncounterable so I can spend money on my girlfriend haha. Anyway I'll figure out what I'm doing for the deck while I sleep I'm going to go sleep Merry Christmas!!!!!

Most likely by turn 3 an opponent will have a creature on the battlefield. Add either Frenzied Goblin, Smoldering Spires, or Blinding Flare for more consistency. This deck is good otherwise, +1 vote.

SpartanCEL says... #20

jrogers16 unfortunately Master of Cruelties has to attack alone so Frenzied Goblin wouldn't work with him the other demons yes. They all cost mana on that turn so we couldn't cast Master of Cruelties on turn 3 or our other creatures. Late game they all would work but hopefully we won't end up in late game. They're all good suggestions so I'll put then in the maybeboard thanks!

I like it might have to build it. Always wanted to use Lord & Master in a deck.

December 28, 2014 9:56 a.m.

SpartanCEL says... #22

APPLE01DOJ hey thanks man! The original deck had 2 Rakdos, Lord of Riots in it and I really wanted to have 3 but it turns out I miscounted and was 1 short so yay 3 thanks God! It's pretty fun to play and I can't wait until my cards come in. If you cut all the 'fun' lands the decks more like 80$ if you're on a budget

December 28, 2014 11:58 a.m.

APPLE01DOJ says... #23

Nah I already own most of the mana base only thing I don't have is the 4x filter lands. Just need the non~Desecration Demons mana rocks and Chandra. Wouldn't cost much to assemble. Have u considered some Spellskite or even Apostle's Blessing to protect your combo?

December 28, 2014 2:41 p.m.

SpartanCEL says... #24

Alright that's cool man. I haven't given them much thought I could probably sideboard them for extra protection

Another idea I had was maybe Piranha Marsh as another means to deal that last point of damage?
