Hey Guys
This deck basically tries to either start with an early quest into a scary threat or use Thassa, Master of Waves and Skaab Ruinator to swing in.
Quest for Ula's Temple: Since there are 30 creatures in the deck and we can maipulate the top of our library fairly consistently, a turn one quest can be pretty noice. Note that you can put in a leviathan or octopus into play at the end of EACH turn, which allows some schwifty shenanigans with Scourge of Fleets or can simply be used to put multiple creatures into play as soon as the quest has three counters and then swing in on the following turn.
Sage of Epityr: This card defenitely overperformed. In combination with fetchlands, this dude is amazing at digging for the right stuff and/or setting up the top of our library for the quest.
Augury Owl: Basically the flying version of the sage. Still a very neat scry effect.
Thassa, God of the Sea: Great if it is a creature, if not it can still let some leviathans do their thing without caring about pesky blockers. Also, scry one each upkeep? Don't mind if i do.
Master of Waves: Top of our curve (of things we actually cast) and huge impact on the board. Everyone knows this card from merfolk. Protection from red is a really nice protection from terminate, bolt and the likes. Also, this dodges abrupt decay- can certainly steal an win and defenitely demands and answer.
Phantasmal Image: Can be anything, another big monster, a master of waves or something delicious that our opponent controls. Also very nice with skaab ruinator :)
Clockspinning: Allows some degenerate things in the early game, but can also get the opponent by clockspinning during their turn and putting something in a turn early
Dizzy Spell: can get any one drop, just for some more consistency.
Sidisi's Faithful: Big Booty one drop that can also bounce something, is a creature for the quest to reveal.
Scourge of Fleets: is awesome because it can bounce the opponents board and have a respectable body that at least dodges dismember, while also being reasonably castable using Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Since no other creature that i can put into play with the quest is as resiliant
I am unsure about Sky Hussar and Dizzy Spell in particular.
Also I am still unsure whether Judge's Familiar and similar disruptive effects should go into the mainboard.
