So took this thing to a commander night. First game, combo went nearly off, milled out one person completely, then accidentally had given enough power to the next player to just win on the next turn. Second game, pretty much did nothing. Third game, went off. Had about 300 mana to spare after drawing and playing half my deck and milling out everybody by playing Hydra Broodmaster and going monstrous for 100 while Altar of the Brood was on the battlefield, then tapping Temple Bell. It worked. I'm so happy!

Hey man, this deck is really good I didn't think mono G mill could be built like this, definitely liking the concept. Some cards I think might be good to put in here are the X cost cards, things like Genesis Wave/Genesis Hydra/Helix Pinnacle/Hydra Broodmaster for chump blockers and Gelatinous Genesis to overwhelm your opponents with an army of oozes.

If your opponents are running LD then it may be good to have Primal Command/Life from the Loam/ Creeping Renaissance or Asceticism

I'm not sure how heavy your meta is on enchantment hate, I noticed your running Back to Nature but there are quite a few really good enchantments green runs that I think could really help your deck out.Rites of Flourishing/Rowen/Lost in the Woods

Card draw is always great and with some mana hungry artifacts you can draw enough lands to get your flip trigger more easily, Horn of Greed/Well of Knowledge/Temple Bell/Journeyer's Kite

Out of these, I think my favorite cards to try and add are Genesis Hydra, Creeping Renaissance, Gelatinous Genesis and Temple Bell. I have to see whether these will fit. The others, not so much, because I'm trying to make the win condition proper mill, meaning there will be more focus in that direction... Genesis Hydra can find the mill win conditions, winning by oozes is a really nice thought, I need card draw, and returning everything of a kind to my hand could help in the event of artifact destruction. Thanks a lot!

Like the idea of the deck! I have tried similar things like Mono-Red Mill with Grenzo, but this is truly awesome and creative! I know you like the idea of Mono-Green Mill, but Kruphix would help out a lot concerning mill options and versatility.

Thank God for artifacts, that's all I'll say. Thanks Wee_Dragonaut, I appreciate it. Kruphix would help a great deal, yes, it's just that the whole point here was to prove to a friend of mine that mono green could do it at all. Heck, when I proposed the idea to him, he didn't seem to understand the notion in the first place. So this was a concept challenge really, that's all. Kruphix would simply make the whole thing more easily done, because blue. We know blue can do that, so I didn't bother.

nyctophasm, Maybe it's time to make a Mono-Black group hug deck? (As in squeezing them so hard that they explode)

...Wee_Dragonaut, give me more. This sounds intriguing. Group hug, defined as a deck whose whole purpose is to prevent anybody from winning the game, and help those who are underachieving? Providing resources to the weakest member in order to undermine the advances of the stronger? Especially for your own nefarious purposes? Ohh... this might need to be commaded by Maralen of the Mornsong. But please, other ideas!

By which I meant, more detail on this idea... I'd like to build this concept somehow.

Let's see...

If I were to create the deck, I would probably use Maralen of the Mornsong as a commander, probably because she is the only mono-black group-hug commander there is. Maybe I can do the combo of Abyssal Persecutor and Platinum Angel to freeze the game for a while, allowing players to assemble their armies. Then, once everybody's battlefields are brimming with creatures, sac either card and watch as carnage unfolds.

I'll get more ideas soon...

Added Alhammarret's Archive. This will double the card draw and speed up the ability to look for answers.
