Pretty Wizards, Bouncing Lands

Legacy Combo GU (Simic) Midrange Mill Theme/Gimmick

BhaalOmega

My wife initially made this as her second deck because all of the Moonfolk were "pretty" but very quickly threw it away because it was not her style. (she has recently made a brutally powerful merfolk deck based on similar principals). I have since taken this deck under my wing and tried my best to make it playable. It still needs some work but so far this is how it goes.

This is deck has 3 functions that must all work in sync before it can get rolling.

The first and perhaps most unique function that this deck requires to run properly is the ability to keep lands in your hand. The Moonfolk are the tribal for this

Oboro Breezecaller is the queen at this! She will return lands to your hand at no cost and with the Simic Growth Chamber she will actually produce extra mana. Her only limit is the number of lands you can play each turn.

Soratami Mirror-Mage and Soratami Savant both provide some much needed control. They help to feed the land back to your hand and will frustrates the dung-nugglets out of your enemies.

Soratami Cloudskater will help to get the deck running by allowing you to filter through your deck while still pulling the lands you need to your hand

Meloku the Clouded Mirror is one of the big defensive engines in the deck. With the right set up you can create oodles of flying tokens as well as fuel every other facet of the deck by paying for his ridiculously cheap ability.

The second function that must be looked after is the ability to play additional lands each turn.

Sakura-Tribe Scout and Walking Atlas are great inexpensive ways to make this happen. They also have the added bonus of letting me drop lands on opponents turns for the surprise Hedron Crab mill or a sneak Soratami Savant coounterspell.

Azusa, Lost but Seeking is pretty self explanatory. Simply an awesome card that has fueled a ton of killer decks.

Journey of Discovery is a bit on the expensive side but it has the versatility to pull them from my library if I am in a tough spot. I have found this to be very helpful.

The third function this deck uses to win is Landfall type abilities. Cards that make all of this land control nonsense worth the effort!

Horn of Greed is much of this decks fuel. If it is out I am allowing my opponents an extra draw per turn maybe but I am keeping my hand fuller than full.
