One of the things that many people that play Polymorph decks do that I disagree with is run token gen. that is more than 2 CMC. On turn 3, I need mana open to use Proteus Staff or have mana open to counter removal they might have. In addition, many Polymorph decks run buffs for the tokens like Intangible Virtue. The argument is that it makes tokens a 2nd win-con in case your Emrakul doesn't come out, but by doing that, they make Emrakul less likely to come out.

The overall gameplan:

T1, Land, maybe Spiritual Visit if its in my hand.

T2, Land, then token gen. through Raise the Alarm or Gather the Townsfolk

T3, Land, Proteus Staff or more tokens

T4, Land, then either activate Proteus Staff or cast Polymorph

T5, Swing with Emrakul.

If they are playing something with a lot of counters, you can wait one more turn to have enough mana for a Dispel to make sure it resolves.

The reason I have so many lands is that, as you can see, I need a land drop on turn 1-4, otherwise my deck gets pushed back a lot.
