Might be a deck series i keep up doing about powerful budget decks that can easily be upgraded over time or by trading but here is the story behind it:

There are 2 kids who just got into magic, threw a bunch of cards together (some standard some not) and were ready to play FNM. They got there decks looked at, made standard legal, and keep getting crushed simply due to the fact that they can't buy cards since they have 0 money. So I stepped in. I don't have the most money but I build budget decks to play online all the time and bit the bullet and got them each an "FNM Intro deck" built to play like they like playing. One of my most successful ones was mono W Hatebears/monument. Its 3-1 vs energy online and 1-1 vs mono red. Haven't gotten to play vs approach yet but that match up scares me if you don't get an aggressive draw.
