Sideboard complete —May 11, 2012

Might end up boarding some Ray of Revelations for those pesky Heartless Summoning decks.

Use tempo to get yourself a massive flying army of spirits!!

You could definitely use Darkslick ShoresMTG Card: Darkslick Shores in your land-base, probably as a 3-of, alongside 3-of Seachrome CoastMTG Card: Seachrome Coast.

Or maybe just 2x Evolving WildsMTG Card: Evolving Wilds in place of 2x Swamp.

I like the idea of the Evolving WildsMTG Card: Evolving Wilds better...thank you for the suggestions!!

You could add either Honor of the PureMTG Card: Honor of the Pure or Intangible VirtueMTG Card: Intangible Virtue to make those souls even bigger.

I was thinking about Intangible VirtueMTG Card: Intangible Virtue but I'm not sure what I would drop for them. Maybe -2Runechanter's PikeMTG Card: Runechanter's Pike +2Intangible VirtueMTG Card: Intangible Virtue?? That might fit into the deck...

It's kinda expensive mana wise, but the new Cathars' CrusadeMTG Card: Cathars' Crusade makes decks like this amazing. Cast and flashback Lingering SoulsMTG Card: Lingering Souls to give yourself 4 more spirits, and give them all +4/+4. Pretty sick.

May 8, 2012 12:36 p.m.

I totally agree cryptic but with so many good cards and only so many spots in the deck its hard to fit them all in!! I don't understand why no one has thrown me any +1 love...I believe this deck deserves IT!!!

If anything, NegateMTG Card: Negate is currently better than Mana LeakMTG Card: Mana Leak in Standard, simply because just about every deck runs at least a couple Cavern of SoulsMTG Card: Cavern of Souls.

May 8, 2012 2:29 p.m.

Yea I'm up in the air about which one to run atm

May 8, 2012 2:41 p.m.

looking pretty solid indeed. I'm always a big fan of ze tokens. You might think of adding a couple copies of Geist of Saint TraftMTG Card: Geist of Saint Traft to get your 4/4 angels on!

May 8, 2012 6:02 p.m.

Yea I thought about that but I want this deck to be fast and deadly. Playtesting has shown me it can be super fast and super deadly ;)

May 8, 2012 6:08 p.m.

If he himself was flying, he would be in without hessitation!

What about for moonsilver spear to keep a 4/4 angel token out? ?

May 8, 2012 6:55 p.m.

See I had some Runechanter's PikeMTG Card: Runechanter's Pikes in there, but I took them out for the Intangible VirtueMTG Card: Intangible Virtues. I think the spears might go into the sideboard. Thanx for the suggestion!

Thought ScourMTG Card: Thought Scour seems a little out of place if you aren't really running Runechanter's PikeMTG Card: Runechanter's Pike, might want to swap them out for Gitaxian ProbeMTG Card: Gitaxian Probe

May 8, 2012 10:59 p.m.

I'm actually thinking about switching them out for Think TwiceMTG Card: Think Twice. The flashback is worth more than being able to look at the opponent's hand. The Thought ScourMTG Card: Thought Scours are just for the draw aspect.

May 8, 2012 11:06 p.m.

Think TwiceMTG Card: Think Twice is always a good card in blue. So is Vapor SnagMTG Card: Vapor Snag. Since you're going to be running aggro, VS is better than UnsummonMTG Card: Unsummon. In a situation where you need to target your own creature, it'll probably be worth it to lose 1 life.

May 9, 2012 3:50 p.m.

Yea I'm running two Vapor snags but I'm wondering if I should switch to 4. I geuess the snags are good to keep my Drogskol CaptainMTG Card: Drogskol Captains relevant in my games. I'm going to be thinking hard about this. Either way the other will most likely be a sideboard candidate.
