Sideboard

This is a deck I've taken to multiple fnm style events and placed on top 3.

budget version Dragon Ponza (budget) $80

The deck

The deck is a mardu boom bust list. It has the Flagstones of Trokair and the bridges to Ankor the land base. With the addition of Cleansing Wildfire and Ghost Quarter the deck is very consistent in its colors and mana base without fetches (as either of these targeting flagstones of briges will fetch out your missing colors)

The land destruction package is simple, boom and vindicate for early game. With Obsidian Charmaw and bust for mid game. In decks without many basics ghost quarter becomes a strip mine and cleansing wildfire also most as good. Rip apart is also an excellent land destruction spell for urzas saga while also being a very relevent removal spell for pretty much everything else.

The deck has a small early and mid game controling package with rip aparts, deafening Clarion, prismatic and relic. These along side the stall of land destruction allow you to constantly get to the mod/late game.

Which is dragons!!! Why dragons? Basically currently they are cheaper than plainswalkers and with Charmaw on team also help keep the pressure on land destruction. They also add alot of pressure out of nowhere.

Normally this wouldn't be an option but with 6 sources of ramp in the deck from wildfire, and orb, along side the land destruction it's not uncommon to hit 5 mana while your opponent is struggling on 2 mana.

It's worth noting in the current meta with many lists running bolts and prismatic endings as there main threat removal, dragon are very well positioned as top end threats. Drc has to swing into them, deathshadows decks can easily be caught of guard by hasty 4/4 flyers. And many control lists focuse on bouncing the bigger threats. And as they almost all have immediate value or are resist to removal in another way, this is often to your advantage. Trons not really an issue. Burn can be but that's why the sb, same for combo. Midrange meta's is what the deck dominates best.
