Devoted to Mono White Token Control...

Standard Control Devotion Mono-White

Something I am toying with. The overall idea is to bring out creatures that give a good amount of devotion so we can abuse Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx for some serious mana production.
Early threats come in the form of Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit and Knight of the White Orchid. The trick with the Knight is to withhold your land drop for that turn, cast him, let his 'put a plains onto the battlefield' trigger go off then lay your land down, giving you 4 mana on turn 3.
Brimaz, King of Oreskos is versatile with his vigilance and gives tokens on attacking and blocking.
Archangel of Tithes is a nice flyer and her built in mini-Propaganda makes the opponent pay dearly for attacking or blocking.
Wingmate Roc gives us lifegain from attacking and an extra flyer with its raid trigger.
Heliod, God of the Sun gives everything vigilance so blockers are always available.
Elspeth, Sun's Champion does wonders for the control aspect. She puts out tokens, is mass removal for creatures with power 4 or greater, and gives anthem buff and flying for everything on our side of the board.
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon is a lightning bolt on a stick or can be used to wipe a board clean of anything you don't want to see anymore.
Spear of Heliod gives all our creatures a nice anthem effect and the ability to pay 1WW and destroy a creature is nice...pulls triple duty when you realize that it adds to devotion.
Secure the Wastes is a nice instant speed spell that will probably be cast on the opponent's end step, hopefully with a Nykthos activation. Imagine having 5 + 1/1 white warrior tokens drop on the field that get buffed by a Spear...more if Elspeth's emblem is out...
Acolyte's Reward is a nice trick that turns our devotion into the ability to save a creature and deal that damage back to an opponent or one of their creatures.
Banishing Light , Devouring Light , and Pillar of Light are all here as early forms of removal. With all the whip decks and graveyard/reanimator strategies currently running around in standard, exiling stuff is the only sure fire way to make sure that it doesn't come back.
