Caw-go 2: The Revenge

Modern Casual Control WU (Azorius)

Dblegacy

Maybeboard

Land (2)

Despite the cost, believe it or not this is more casual than competitive. I some how had all the cards on hand and thought to myself, “why the hell not?” Deck plays similarly to the original deck that Brian Kibler played years back except I added Snapcaster Mage and a few others. Unfortunately I didn’t have the Gideons, so Serra the Benevolent seems like a nice substitute and can pop in some big creatures for a late game win-con. Deck works just like the original. Play Squadron Hawk and pass turn. (Caw-go, get it?) counter and annoy opponent by keeping them from playing spells or removing their nasties. The land distribution might need some work but I think the deck curves about where it needs to for it’s spells. Added Force of Negation, Snapcaster Mage, Swan Song, and Mystic Sanctuary (or as I call it, the poor mans snapcaster mage) as these cards weren’t around when this deck was still around and meta warping. (Although I don’t see this deck winning a modern tournament in its current state anytime soon.) I just wanted to give the deck some love and go down a nostalgia trip at the same time. Let me know if there’s any suggestions anyone has, I’m always grateful! As a side note: I don’t actually know where to even begin with this decks sideboard... any suggestions will be a BIG help!
