CREATURES

• Scuttling Doom Engine brings a lot of hurt to the table. It's hard to block and when combined with Shrapnel Blast it can do 11 to 17 damage (blocked and unblocked). even if Shrapnel Blast is countered they still take 6 from it dying.


• Ornithopter, The little flier that could. This little guy is used for a bunch. He gets enchanted with Ensoul Artifact to become a 5/5 flier. he generates extra mana with Springleaf Drum . He helps pay for artifacts with Chief Engineer out. And he can be sacrificed to Shrapnel Blast.


• Generator Servant helps to get my Scuttler out as soon as turn 3, and gives him haste.


• Chief Engineer makes all of my artifacts easy to cast, especially with the help of a few Ornithopters. This is the only card in the deck not worth having more than one of, but since I still need him early he is a 4-of.

ENCHANTMENTS

• Ensoul Artifact turns my utility cards into creatures; big ones. Ornithopter, Springleaf Drum , Darksteel Citadel, Ugin's Nexus and Phyrexian Revoker(sideboard) all make great targets.

INSTANTS

• Shrapnel Blast can be used with any of my artifacts, but is meant to be used with a scuttler. Swing with it, and then blast it for 17 damage


• Magma Jet is in here as my burn spell of choice due to the scry 2. scrying helps to get rid of dead draws. Think of it as a Magma Jet that finds you a Shrapnel Blast


• Steam Augury refills my hand and digs for combo pieces.

ARTIFACTS

• Springleaf Drum gives me just a little bit more mana in the early game, but it is all important in this deck.
  T1: Land, Ornithopter, Springleaf Drum
  T2: Land, Generator Servant
  T3: Land, tap the Thopter and the Drum, sac the Generator, and tap out to cast Scuttling Doom Engine with haste. Swing.


• Ugin's Nexus If I'm missing a doom engine I can blast the nexus for an extra turn.

LANDS

• Temple of Epiphany , If i don't have a drum to cast on T1, then I won't need mana on T1, since the Ornithopers are free.


• Shivan Reef shouldn't hurt me too much since I mosly need colorless mana.


• Darksteel Citadel for the 5/5 indestructible on T2.

SIDEBOARD

counterspells and Phyrexian Revoker for more control. Aqueous Form and Ghostfire Blade for quicker damage.
